Researching the biology of PXE: Partnering in the process

American Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, 2001
AbstractPXE International, a disease advocacy group, plays a central role as a catalyst in several research initiatives focused on the biology, epidemiology, and genetics of pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE). These initiatives accelerate research on PXE and provide a basis for several productive collaborative partnerships, including a particularly ...

Deploying forensic tools via PXE

Digital Investigation, 2004
Corporate investigations often require large numbers of initial examinations to identify relevant systems. Many investigators are turning to bootable Unix CDs such a Knoppix and Helix to assist with such ''screening''. A method is proposed for the mass deployment of such tools via the ''PXE'' network boot function, allowing more efficient parallel ...

Pseudoxanthoma Elasticum (PXE)‐Like Fibers in Patients Without PXE

Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 2005
Pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE) is an inherited disorder characterised by progressive calcification of elastic fibers in the skin, eyes and cardiovascular system. Skin lesions show distinctive thickened, fragmented elastic fibers in the reticular dermis. PXE‐like fibers have not been described in patients without PXE.
