A Biomarker‐Driven Ovary–Endometrium Organ‐on‐a‐Chip Mimicking 3D Multicellular Complexity and Menstrual Cyclicity for Predicting Reproductive Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a dual‐organ, biomarker‐integrated ovaryendometrium organ‐on‐a‐chip that recapitulates 3D tissue complexity, menstrual cycle dynamics, and hormonal crosstalk. This platform enables real‐time, cell‐typespecific fluorescent readouts of reproductive toxicity using ANGPTL4 and SERPINB2 as early‐response reporters.

Preparation and Physical Characterization of Pyrene and Pyrrolo[3,4‐c]pyrrole‐1,4‐dione‐Based Copolymers

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2019
Two narrow band‐gap copolymers consisting of 2,7‐bis(5‐(trimethylstannyl)thiophen‐2‐yl)‐4,5,9,10‐tetrakis(2‐ethylhexyloxy)‐pyrene (M1) as an electron‐rich unit and diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) as an electron‐deficient unit have been synthesized and ...

Low YTHDC1 Expression Upregulates FSCN1 to Promote Nuclear F‐Actin Formation and Facilitate Double‐strand DNA Breaks Repair in TMZ‐Resistant Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study revealed that low expression of YTHDC1 in TMZ‐resistant GBM cells leads to increased FSCN1 expression, which is suppressed by m6A modification. FSCN1 activates the CDC42/N‐WASP/Arp2/3 axis in the cell nucleus by recruiting the guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) family member FGD1, thereby promoting F‐actin polymerization in the nucleus.

Polymorphism of pyrene on compression to 35 GPa in a diamond anvil cell

open access: yesCommunications Chemistry
Structural studies of pyrene have been limited to below 2 GPa. Here, we report on investigations of pyrene up to ~35 GPa using in situ single-crystal synchrotron X-ray diffraction in diamond anvil cells and ab initio calculations.

Evident bacterial community changes but only slight degradation when polluted with pyrene in a red soil

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2015
Understanding the potential for PAH degradation by indigenous microbiota and the influence of PAHs on native microbial communities is of great importance for bioremediation and ecological evaluation.

Principles for Rigorous Design and Application of Synthetic Microbial Communities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SynComs are artificially designed to enable inter‐species metabolic interactions, metabolic division of labor, and ecological interactions that can elicit phenotypes like colonization stability and environmental adaptation. This systematic review explores the processes used to construct SynComs, the assessment of the mechanisms of metabolic interaction
