Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometry: Fundamental Principles, Diverse Applications, and the Latest Technological Frontiers

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The review examines the evolution of chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CI‐MS), a technique developed in 1966 by Field and Munson. CI is a soft‐ionization method that produces more intense molecular ions with less fragmentation than electron ionization (EI).

RNA degradomics and proteomics reveal the mechanism of dsProsβ1‐mediated proteasome targeting in Psylliodes chrysocephala

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
RNA degradomics revealed dsProsβ1‐derived siRNA‐mediated mRNA cleavage events, mainly at uracil‐guanine and adenine‐adenine pairs. Proteasome inhibition via dsProsβ1 increased mitochondrial and cytoskeletal proteins while reducing translation‐related and mRNA‐binding proteins.

Extração em fase sólida (SPE) e micro extração em fase sólida (SPME) de piretróides em água Solid-phase extraction (SPE) and solid-phase microextraction of pyrethroids in water

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2001
The pyrethroids bifenthrin, permethrin, cypermethrin and deltamethrin were extracted by solid phase extraction (SPE) and solid phase microextraction (SPME).

Activity spectrum of spinosad and indoxacarb : rationale for an innovative pyrethroid resistance management strategy in West Africa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
To face pyrethroid resistance in the cotton ballworm Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner), endosulfan (700 g/ha) has been used in a resistance management strategy for four years in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa.

Combined effects of canola plant density and insecticide management strategies on flea beetle abundance, canola defoliation, and yield across the Canadian prairies

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Increasing canola plant density reduced flea beetle abundance per plant and increased yield, independent of region or insecticide use, highlighting its potential as a component of integrated pest management. Abstract The crucifer flea beetle, Phyllotreta cruciferae (Goeze), and the striped flea beetle, Phyllotreta striolata (Fabricius) (Coleoptera ...

Use of World Health Organization susceptibility test for malaria vector control in South-Eastern Nigeria: A discourse

open access: yesEnvironmental Disease, 2019
Background: With growing evidence of mosquito vector resistance to pyrethroids and other classes of insecticides globally, we employed one of the two important tools for the monitoring of insecticide resistance in selected states in southeastern part of ...

Transport engineering as a strategy to realize rapeseed's potential as a protein‐rich food

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
The heavily pesticide‐dependent rapeseed is an under‐utilized protein source for food owing to anti‐nutritional glucosinolates. Transport engineering technology may reduce glucosinolates in seeds while increasing defense in vegetative parts. Abstract Rapeseed is the world's second‐largest oilseed crop, and the low‐value press cake that remains after ...
