Supramolecular liquid crystals formed by hydrogen bonding between a benzocrown-bearing stilbazole and carboxylic acids [PDF]
The mesomorphism of hydrogen bonded complexes formed between 4'-carboxybenzo-15-crown-5 stilbazolyl ester (CBCSE) as proton acceptor and carboxylic acids as proton donors is discussed.

Iron-Catalyzed, Highly Regioselective Synthesis of α-Aryl Carboxylic Acids from Styrene Derivatives and CO2 [PDF]
The iron-catalyzed hydrocarboxylation of aryl alkenes has been developed using a highly active bench-stable iron(II) precatalyst to give α-aryl carboxylic acids in excellent yields and with near-perfect regioselectivity.

An on‐resin dual‐modification strategy for peptides is presented, comprising S‐alkynylation of peptide thiosulfonates and regioselective iridium‐catalyzed azide–thioalkyne cycloaddition. This method reliably provides access to peptides with intricate non‐canonical modifications, being compatible with complex peptides, alkynes and azides.

The role of proton transfer in multicomponent crystals of pyridine derivative with carboxylic acids [PDF]
The estimation of the extent of proton transfer between proton donor/electron acceptors and proton acceptor/electron donor moieties, both in intra- and inter-molecular cases, can be considered an emerging approach in crystal engineering, aimed at ...

An anomeric amide‐enabled divergent aldehyde functionalization sequence provides one‐pot access to unsymmetrical ureas, carbamates, thiocarbamates, thioesters, and amides. Key to this transformation is the formation of N‐Boc‐hydroxamate intermediates, which serve as platforms for orthogonal activation via Lossen‐type rearrangements, single‐electron ...

The manuscript confirms and expands on previous reports concerning the presence of unusual conjugated hydroxydienoic fatty acids and acetyl‐TAG in the seed oil of Securidaca longipedunculata. The location of acetate only at sn‐2 of TAG was conclusively shown by high resolution NMR and hydroxy seed fatty acids are characterized.
