A helical polymer whose chain ends are connected through pillar[5]arene‐based host–guest interactions translates molecular helicity into supramolecular morphology. Solvent‐triggered helicity inversion accompanied by changes in chain rigidity switches the supramolecular architecture between cyclic and rigid‐rod nanostructures.

Quinolin‐4‐ones were converted to chloroquinolinium salts, allowing formation of axially chiral aminoquinolinium salts via an enantioretentive SNAr reaction with a variety of amine nucleophiles. The salts have a high rotational barrier, with a racemization half‐life of ∼1000s of years.

Introduction of a cation to donor/acceptor‐functionalized 2,6‐bisethynylpyridines results in through‐space interaction of donor and acceptor units. The electronic effects of this organization are explored using 1H‐NMR and UV‐vis spectroscopies. ABSTRACT Introduction of Ag(I) cations to 2,6‐bisethynylpyridine units decorated with electron‐donating (N,N ...

Designing Porous Boroaluminate Catalysts via Non‐Hydrolytic Ether Elimination
A non‐hydrolytic sol‐gel ether elimination route provides highly porous boroaluminate mixed oxides with homogeneous atomic distribution and acidic active sites. Careful precursor selection results in catalysts that are highly efficient in ethanol dehydration.
