Pyridinium dihydrogenmonothiophosphate
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2000By reaction of pyridine dithiomonometaphosphoryl fluoride with ethyldiphenylphosphine in the presence of traces of water, we isolated crystals of the title compound, (I). In the structure of this salt, two kinds of hydrogen bonds were detected. They link N-H (part of the cation), as well as one O-H group (part of the anion), to the phosphoryl O atom of

Synthesis of pyridinium heterocyclic ylides. Degradation of the pyridinium group
Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1981AbstractThe synthesis of pyridinium‐quinolone chlorides and ylides, a pyridinium‐methylquinazolone ylide, 9‐pyridinium acridine chloride, and their behaviour by treatment with boiling aniline are described.

Antimycobacterial Activity of Quaternary Pyridinium Salts and Pyridinium N-oxides - Review
Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2012The treatment of tuberculosis and other mycobacterioses is still a major world health problem and new antimycobacterial compounds unrelated to approved drugs are in demand. Quaternary ammonium salts have revealed many usable properties especially as antimicrobials; they are widely used as disinfection and antiseptic agents.

Reactivity of Halo(pyridinium)carbenes
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2009The reactivity of chloro- and fluoro(N-methyl-3-pyridinium)carbenes was examined by laser flash photolysis, where the halo(pyridinium)carbenes formed ylides with pyridine, acetonitrile, and acetone. Although the halo(pyridinium)carbenes reacted within the time of the laser pulse, their relative reactivities with a series of alkenes could be obtained ...

The crystal structure of pyridinium dichloroiodide
Acta Crystallographica Section B Structural Crystallography and Crystal Chemistry, 1973Pyridinium dichloroiodide, CsNH6ICI2, is trigonal, space group R3m, with a=6.165 (4)A, e= 82.45 (6) °, D,,=2.06 g cm -a (by flotation), Z=I, Dc=2"04 g cm -3. The atomic positions have been determined by least-squares refinement of counterintensities, the final R being 0.023 for 227 reflexions.
