Emerging Trends in Organic Photoreactions Utilizing Disulfides
Disulfides are versatile, nontoxic alternatives to metal photocatalysts. This review explores their role as photoactivated thiyl‐radical precursors and bifunctional catalysts (HAT/electron shuttling) in diverse transformations. Strategies for electronic tuning and development into recyclable heterogeneous materials are highlighted for sustainable ...

A structural interpretation of the acidity of groups associated with the hemes of hemoglobin and hemoglobin derivatives [PDF]
Since the discovery by Bohr and coworkers in 1904 of the effect of acidity on the oxygen equilibrium of hemoglobin, there have been a large number of investigations directed towards clarification of the physicochemical relationships of acid groups with ...

The intramolecular nitrile oxide olefin [3 + 2]‐cycloaddition offers a reliable entry toward 2‐aza‐bicyclo[4.3.0]‐nonanes, a substructure found in several bioactive piperidine alkaloids. The required oxime precursors were prepared in non‐racemic form by Ir‐catalyzed asymmetric allylation and ring‐closing metathesis.

Chemical Syntheses of 3′ and 5′ Phosphorylated Oligonucleotides: An Overview
This review provides an overview of the various chemical methods employed in the synthesis of oligonucleotides bearing a phosphate group at their 3′ or 5′ end. Notably, it presents modified phosphoramidites and supports developed for this purpose. Oligonucleotides (ON) with a phosphate monoester group at their 3′ or 5′ end have applications in many ...
