Intercept Estimation of Semi‐Parametric Joint Models in the Context of Longitudinal Data Subject to Irregular Observations

open access: yesBiometrical Journal, Volume 67, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Longitudinal data are often subject to irregular visiting times, with outcomes and visit times influenced by a latent variable. Semi‐parametric joint models that account for this dependence have been proposed; among these, the Sun model is the most suitable for count data as it employs a multiplicative link function.

Rapidly Progressive Multiple System Atrophy—Cerebellar Type in a 52‐Year‐Old Woman: Diagnostic Challenges in a Resource‐Limited Setting

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a progressive adult‐onset neurodegenerative disorder that manifests as a variable combination of cerebellar, parkinsonian, and autonomic dysfunctions. Unusual Presentation of Subcutaneous Panniculitis‐Like T‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Subcutaneous panniculitis‐like T‐cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare variant of primary cutaneous T‐cell lymphoma primarily affecting subcutaneous adipose tissue and mimicking lobular panniculitis. It often presents with erythematous subcutaneous nodules or plaques, and diagnosis can be challenging due to its diverse clinical manifestations.

Pyridoxine and survival of tilapia (Sarotherodon mossambicus Peters) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Pyridoxine requirements of tilapia (Sarotherodon mossambicus Peters) were studied in two separate experiments using casein-based diets. In Experiment 1, fish on pyridoxine supplemented diet (14.0mg/100g diet) showed no adverse symptoms and remained ...

Expanding the Phenotype of CYFIP2‐Related Developmental Epileptic Encephalopathy: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of the Child Neurology Society, Volume 3, Issue 4, Page 314-323, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Pathogenic CYFIP2 variants cause developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE), characterized by early‐onset intractable epilepsy and developmental delay. The disease course has not been delineated. Codon Arg87 is a de novo mutational hotspot associated with a severe DEE phenotype via gain‐of‐function mechanisms. Currently, there

Hydrogen peroxide in micropropagation of Lilium: A comparison with a traditional methodology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The micropropagation of Lilium longiflorum requires adequate equipment which may not be afforded by small laboratories or producers. In this work we compared traditional methodology with a protocol that included easily available elements to sterilize ...

Effects of Mealworm‐Based Synbiotics on Productive Performance, Egg Quality, Blood Metabolites, and Gut Health in Laying Japanese Quails

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study evaluated synbiotics combining Lactobacillus plantarum or a commercial probiotic (Parsilact) with 1% mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) meal in laying quails. Synbiotic supplementation did not affect feed intake, egg production, or feed efficiency but significantly improved egg quality, increasing egg weight and yolk proportion.
