The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

A point mutation in IAA34 confers resistance to the auxin herbicide 2,4‐D in Sisymbrium orientale

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
A point mutation in domain IV of SoAux/IAA34‐R provides resistance to 2,4‐D. Abstract BACKGROUND Sisymbrium orientale has evolved resistance to 2,4‐D in Australia due to a 27 bp deletion in SoIAA2. However, one population of Sisymbrium orientale resistant to 2,4‐D (R1) did not contain the SoIAA2Δ27, suggesting another 2,4‐D resistance mechanism was ...

Upregulation of ST3GAL5 predicts suppression of malignant biological behavior in bladder cancer

open access: yesUroPrecision, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Bladder cancer (BLCA) is the most prevalent malignancy in the urinary tract system, while ST3GAL5 is a protein‐coding gene that catalyzes the formation of ganglioside monosialodihexosylganglioside 3 (GM3) synthase. GM3 synthase has been reported to significantly influence the malignant process of various cancers.

Metabolite changes by combined treatment, ethyl formate and low temperature, in Drosophila suzukii

open access: yesScientific Reports
Although ethyl formate (EF) fumigant and low temperature applications are widely used for pest management, studies related to their mechanisms of action and subsequent metabolic changes in Drosophila suzukii models are still unclear.

Recent developments in the chemistry and enzyme inhibitory activity of fused thiazoles and thiadiazoles

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Chemistry, EarlyView.
Abstract The combination of cyclization reactions of thiadiazoles and benzothiazoles with Pd‐catalyzed cross‐coupling reactions provided a convenient synthesis of annulated, fluorinated and non‐fluorinated heterocycles, such as 1,3,4‐thiadiazolo[3,2‐a]pyrimidin‐5‐ones, benzothiazolo[3,2‐a]pyridimidin‐4‐ones, benzothiazolo[2,3‐b]quinazolin‐12‐ones and ...
