Sustainable Synthesis of 4,7‐Dihydro‐4,7‐ethano‐2H‐isoindoles—Key Building Blocks to Benzoporphyrins

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A facile and sustainable route to isoindole derivatives—key benzoporphyrin precursors—brings high‐ and low‐symmetry benzoporphyrins closer to practical application. ABSTRACT Benzoporphyrins, π extended porphyrin analogues, exhibit remarkable potential for optoelectronic and theragnostic applications, yet have remained largely confined to fundamental ...

Light‐Induced Anion Translocation to Control Helical Folding in an Artificial Communication System

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Anion‐induced helical folding of an oligomer is controlled indirectly and reversibly by light through anion uptake/release by a photoresponsive receptor. Thus, a light signal is processed into a chemical signal in a communication‐type three‐component supramolecular system.

Total Syntheses of Agelamadin F and (±)‐Tauroacidin A, Enabled by NaClO2‐Mediated Coupling Reactions of Oroidin and Amines

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Total syntheses of agelamadin F and (±)‐tauroacidin A were achieved by sodium chlorite (NaClO2)‐mediated oxidative C─N coupling. Nine C15–N–amino acid‐substituted oroidin derivatives were successfully prepared to demonstrate the applicability and versatility of this oxidative coupling reaction.

Polysilane‐Supported Nickel as an Efficient Catalyst for the Hydrogenation of Aromatic Compounds†

open access: yesChinese Journal of Chemistry, EarlyView.
A Ni/Si catalyst obtained from the reaction of poly(monohydro)silane with Ni(cod)2 serves as an effective heterogeneous catalyst for the hydrogenation of arenes under reaction conditions that are significantly milder than those required for conventional nickel‐based catalysts such as Raney nickel.

In Vivo and In Vitro Evaluation of PTeCA (1H‐Pyrrole‐2,3,4,5‐Tetracarboxylic Acid) in Hair Matrix as a Marker for Oxidative Cosmetic Treatment

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
A total of 3378 self‐reported treated and untreated hair samples were analyzed for PTCA and PTeCA by LC‐MS/MS. Moreover, their in vitro formation was assessed in 225 untreated hair by different cosmetic treatments with and without oxidative agents. Data suggest that PTeCA could be a reliable marker for oxidative cosmetic treatments in hair.

Design of B,N Co‐Doped Carbon Spheres for Highly Effective Back Interface Engineering in Planar Carbon‐Based Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The energy level mismatch of the perovskite/carbon back interface is decreased remarkably by using B, N co‐doped carbon sphere electrode in C‐PSCs, leading to effective charge carrier separation, extraction, and transport at the back interface. Combined with further buried modification using AMPA, the power conversion efficiency of the C‐PSCs is up to ...

Bottlenecks‐Breaking in Zinc‐Iodine Batteries Toward Practical Implementation: A Review and Perspective

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Aqueous zinc–iodine batteries (Zn–I2Bs) offer promise for grid storage due to safety and cost advantages yet face critical bottlenecks: severe self‐discharge (polyiodide shuttling and HER), limited energy density, sluggish kinetics, and zinc anode instability.

Regulating the Dielectric Behavior of Conductive Polymers Through Vapor Phase Infiltration for Tunable Microwave Absorption

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Vapor phase infiltration (VPI) enables atomic‐level dielectric regulation in conductive polymer foams. The VPI‐treated foam exhibits enhanced absorption efficiency per unit thickness (~2.6 times), dynamic frequency tunability (94.5% coverage in 2–18 GHz), and on/off switching ability while retaining performance under acid/alkali exposure and repeated ...
