PyBrook—A Python framework for processing and visualising real-time data

open access: yesSoftwareX
In this paper, we present PyBrook - an original real-time cloud computing framework for the Internet of Things. PyBrook enables users to define complex data processing models declaratively, using the Python programming language.

Quasar: A Programming Framework for Rapid Prototyping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We present a new programming framework, Quasar, which facilitates GPU programming. Our high-level programming language relieves the developer of all implementation details such that he can focus on the algorithm and the required accuracy.

A Syntactic Neural Model for General-Purpose Code Generation

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the problem of parsing natural language descriptions into source code written in a general-purpose programming language like Python. Existing data-driven methods treat this problem as a language generation task without considering the ...

In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.

Process-Oriented Parallel Programming with an Application to Data-Intensive Computing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We introduce process-oriented programming as a natural extension of object-oriented programming for parallel computing. It is based on the observation that every class of an object-oriented language can be instantiated as a process, accessible via a ...

Integrative Approaches for DNA Sequence‐Controlled Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA is emerging as a programmable building block for functional materials with applications in biomimicry, biochemical, and mechanical information processing. The integration of simulations, experiments, and machine learning is explored as a means to bridge DNA sequences with macroscopic material properties, highlighting current advances and providing ...

PRACTICAL APPROACH FOR HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGE PROCESSING IN PYTHON [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
Python is a very popular programming language among data scientists around the world. Python can also be used in hyperspectral data analysis. There are some toolboxes designed for spectral imaging, such as Spectral Python and HyperSpy, but there is a ...

PyFml - a Textual Language For Feature Modeling

open access: yes, 2018
The Feature model is a typical approach to capture variability in a software product line design and implementation. For that, most works automate feature model using a limited graphical notation represented by propositional logic and implemented by ...

Type inference for Python programming language

open access: yesProceedings of the Institute for System Programming of RAS, 2013
The article presents type inference for programs written in Python programming language. At first, type inference algorithms for parametric polymorphism that were described in the scientific literature are reviewed. The algorithms evolved from “basic” algorithm (also known as Palsberg — Schwartzbach algorithm) to Cartesian product algorithm (CPA).
