EFFECTS OF Q&P PROCESS PARAMETERS ON PROPERTIES OF 42SiCr STEEL

open access: yesActa Metallurgica Slovaca, 2018

The requirement for high strength and good ductility poses problems in today’s advanced steels. This problem can be tackled by appropriate heat treatment which produces suitable microstructures. By this means, ultimate strengths of about 2000 MPa and elongations of more than 10% can be obtained. One

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The Exponential Autoregressive-Moving Average EARMA (p,q) Process [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
A new model for pth‐order autoregressive processes with exponential marginal distributions, ear(p), is developed and an earlier model for first‐order moving average exponential processes is extended to qth‐order, giving an ema(q) process. The correlation

Integrated Modelling of Microstructure Evolution and Mechanical Properties Prediction for Q&P Hot Stamping Process of Ultra-High Strength Steel

open access: yesChinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, 2020
High strength steel products with good ductility can be produced via Q&P hot stamping process, while the phase transformation of the process is more complicated than common hot stamping since two-step quenching and one-step carbon partitioning processes ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Q&P PROCESS IN PRESS-HARDENING OF 42SICR STEEL

open access: yesActa Metallurgica Slovaca, 2018
One of today’s advanced heat treatment routes for high-strength steels is the Q&P process which delivers high ultimate strengths combined with good ductility.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

A fractionally integrated ECOGARCH process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we introduce a fractionally integrated exponential continuous time GARCH(p,d,q) process. It is defined in such a way that it is a continuous time extension of the discrete time FIEGARCH(p,d,q) process.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Research on the Evolution Law Physical Short Fatigue Crack and Tip Deformation Fields during Crack Closure Process of the Q&P Steel

open access: yesMaterials, 2022
In this paper, a novel dual microscopic fatigue-crack and tip-deformation-fields measurement method based on a hybrid image-processing technique is proposed that was used to research the physical short fatigue crack (SFC) closure effect and the evolution law of the tip deformation fields of Quenching–Partitioning (Q&P) steel during the crack ...
