A Minimalist Approach to the Syntactic Position of the Q-Particle ‘aya’ in Persian
The present paper aims to determine the position of the Q-particle ‘aya’ in Persian within the Minimalist framework (e.g. Chomsky, 1995, 2001). To this end, first, evidence is provided against the idea that the Q-particle ‘aya’ is in the head of the Complementizer Phrase (CP) (Lotfi, 2000; 2003).

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Inclusive distributions of charged particles in hadronic W decays are experimentally investigated using the statistics collected by the DELPHI experiment at LEP during 1997, 1998 and 1999, at centre-of-mass energies from 183 to around 200 GeV.

High-Q bismuth silicate nonlinear glass microsphere resonators
The fabrication and characterization of a bismuth-silicate glass microsphere resonator has been demonstrated. At wavelengths near 1550 nm, high-modes can be efficiently excited in a 179 µm diameter bismuth-silicate glass microsphere via evanescent ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Identified through the use of statistical design of experiments and metallographic investigation, this study exposes the stochastic origins of intergranular cracks in blown powder laser beam directed energy deposition additive manufacturing of pure molybdenum. It further demonstrates a successful crack mitigation approach with direct correlation to the

Preparation of spheroidal UO2 - ThO2 particles.
A self—abradory process is described for the small-scale preparation of 150 - 200 micron spheroidal particles of various UO2- ThO2 compositions. The particles can be sintered to high densities before or after dispersion in beryllium oxide. Because of the

Constant mean curvature foliation of globally hyperbolic (2 + 1)-spacetimes with particles
Let M be a globally hyperbolic maximal compact 3-dimensional spacetime locally modelled on Minkowski, anti-de Sitter or de Sitter space. It is well known that M admits a unique foliation by constant mean curvature surfaces.

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.
