Translocation (5;19)(q13;q13) in a multinodular thyroid goiter

Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics, 1995
We describe the cytogenetics of a multinodular thyroid goiter where 90% of the analyzed cells showed a diploid karyotype with a balanced translocation between chromosomes 5 and 19: 46,XX,t(5;19)(q13;q13). This translocation has been previously described in cases of thyroid adenoma. Our case is the first report of this anomaly in nodular hyperplasia. We

Giant-cell tumor of bone, stage II, displaying translocation t(12;19)(q13;q13)

Virchows Archiv A Pathological Anatomy and Histopathology, 1989
A new case of giant-cell tumour (GCT) of bone with benign histological features, clinical stage II, has been reviewed with immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy. After short-term tissue culture the karyotype, using G-banding techniques, presented a consistent translocation t(12;19)(q13;q13).

Translocation t(12;22)(q13;q13) is a nonrandom rearrangement in clear cell sarcoma

Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics, 1992
Cytogenetic analyses of tumor cells from a case of clear cell sarcoma revealed a translocation between chromosomes 12 and 22 that was similar to the rearrangement described recently in three other cases. It is suggested that the translocation may be important in the pathogenesis of this rare tumor.
