Should the Workload of Combining Clinical Practice With Data Collection be Considered: A Survey of Physicians With Data Collection Experience. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Evid Based Med
ABSTRACT Aim To survey the physician's attention to the workload of combining clinical practice with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) data collection. Background With the development of artificial intelligence technology in the medical field, the task of collecting diverse clinical data in TCM has increased.

Real-world lecanemab adoption in Japan 1 year after launch: Insights from 311 specialists on infrastructure and reimbursement barriers. [PDF]

open access: yesAlzheimers Dement
Abstract INTRODUCTION Lecanemab was approved for early Alzheimer's disease in Japan, with ≈ 6000 patients treated in the first year post approval. This study explores real‐world practices, challenges, and potential solutions. METHODS We conducted an anonymized online survey of clinical specialists authorized to prescribe lecanemab, obtaining responses ...

Barriers to Changing Sedation Practice for Patients Undergoing Mechanical Ventilation on the Intensive Care Unit: A Qualitative Interview Study of Clinical Staff. [PDF]

open access: yesNurs Crit Care
ABSTRACT Background Medical sedation is a requirement for mechanical ventilation for most patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Sedation can help minimise patient discomfort, pain and distress, but can lead to hypotension, bradycardia, prolonged ventilation and delirium.

A functional helix shuffled variant of the B domain of Staphylococcus aureus. [PDF]

open access: yesProtein Sci
Abstract The B domain of protein A is a biotechnologically important three‐helix bundle protein. It binds the Fc fragment of antibodies with helix 1/2 and the Fab region with helix 2/3. Here we designed a helix shuffled variant by changing the connectivity of the helices, in order to redesign the helix bundle, yielding altered helix–loop–helix ...

Quantum trajectory analysis of a thresholdlike transition in the microlaser [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
In a recent microlaser experiment [K. An et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 73, 3375 (1994)], a thresholdlike transition of intracavity mean photon number as a function of intracavity mean atom number has been observed.

Ultrafast Structural Dynamics of BlsA, a Photoreceptor from the Pathogenic Bacterium Acinetobacter baumannii [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Acinetobacter baumannii is an important human pathogen that can form biofilms and persist under harsh environmental conditions. Biofilm formation and virulence are modulated by blue light, which is thought to be regulated by a BLUF protein, BlsA.

Structural insights into how vacuolar sorting receptor recognizes the C‐terminal sorting determinant of a vicilin‐like seed storage protein

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 1, Page 257-270, January 2026.
Soluble cargo proteins are sorted to the vacuoles via a receptor‐mediated mechanism. Combining crystallographic and mutagenesis studies, we showed how the C‐terminal sorting determinant (ctVSD) of vicilin‐like seed storage protein VL22 is recognized by the protease‐associated domain of Arabidopsis vacuolar‐sorting receptor 1.

Dissimilarities of reduced density matrices and eigenstate thermalization hypothesis

open access: yes, 2017
We calculate various quantities that characterize the dissimilarity of reduced density matrices for a short interval of length $\ell$ in a two-dimensional (2D) large central charge conformal field theory (CFT).

Health‐Related Quality of Life in Patients With a Head and Neck Sarcoma: A Mixed‐Methods Study

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 47, Issue 11, Page 3086-3097, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with head and neck sarcomas (HNS) face unique health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) challenges due to its disease rarity. This study examined and identified the prevalence of generic‐ and location‐specific HRQoL issues.
