On Piercing Numbers of Families Satisfying the $(p,q)_r$ Property [PDF]
The Hadwiger-Debrunner number $HD_d(p,q)$ is the minimal size of a piercing set that can always be guaranteed for a family of compact convex sets in $\mathbb{R}^d$ that satisfies the $(p,q)$ property. Hadwiger and Debrunner showed that $HD_d(p,q) \geq p-q+1$ for all $q$, and equality is attained for $q > \frac{d-1}{d}p +1$.

Abstract Current radiotherapy practices rely on manual contouring of CT scans, which is time‐consuming, prone to variability, and requires highly trained experts. There is a need for more efficient and consistent contouring methods. This study evaluated the performance of the Varian Ethos AI auto‐contouring tool to assess its potential integration into

Abstract In radiation oncology, inter‐fractional dosimetry using optically stimulated luminescent detectors (OSLDs) ensures accurate plan delivery and patient safety. RadPro International GmbH's myOLSchip system, featuring a beryllium oxide (BeO) OSL dosimeter, reader, and eraser, was characterized and calibrated with a Varian Truebeam for in‐vivo ...

Log file‐based quality assurance method for respiratory gating system
Abstract Background As medical linear accelerator technology advances, enabling higher dose rate deliveries, hypofractionation regimens has increased. This necessitates respiratory gating systems that synchronize radiation delivery with tumor position, requiring simple rigorous quality assurance (QA) to ensure treatment accuracy and patient safety ...

Approximation bounds on maximum edge 2-coloring of dense graphs
For a graph $G$ and integer $q\geq 2$, an edge $q$-coloring of $G$ is an assignment of colors to edges of $G$, such that edges incident on a vertex span at most $q$ distinct colors.
