Upper Bounds on the Minimum Size of Feedback Arc Set of Directed Multigraphs With Bounded Degree

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT An oriented multigraph is a directed multigraph without directed 2‐cycles. Let fas ( D ) $\text{fas}(D)$ denote the minimum size of a feedback arc set in an oriented multigraph D $D$. In several papers, upper bounds for fas ( D ) $\text{fas}(D)$ were obtained for oriented multigraphs D $D$ with maximum degree upper‐bounded by a constant ...

Comparison of Low‐Iodine Concentration Quantification Accuracy and Contrast‐To‐Noise Ratio Across Three Dual‐Energy CT Techniques: A Phantom Study

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
Using a clinical abdominal CT protocol, all three DECT techniques accurately quantified iodine. Rapid kV‐switching achieved the lowest detectable and quantifiable iodine concentrations, while dual‐layer DECT provided the highest normalised contrast‐to‐noise ratio on 40‐keV virtual monoenergetic images.

Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Image Registration in Radiation Therapy Position Paper

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
The ASMIRT Image Registration Working Party outlines the critical role of radiation therapists in performing, assessing and documenting rigid and deformable image registration across treatment planning, delivery and adaptive workflows. The position paper emphasises consistent nomenclature, robust QA processes, strong collaboration with diagnostic ...

Health and economic assessment of ultrafine particles in Stockholm: Impacts of electrification and local policies

open access: yesEnvironment International
High resolution air quality dispersion modelling was applied to assess the health risks of long-term exposure to ultrafine particles (UFP) emitted from the transport sector and to evaluate the health benefits of different local interventions in Stockholm.

Learning in radiation oncology: 12‐month experience with a new incident learning system

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, Volume 72, Issue 1, Page 63-73, March 2025.
Introduction of an incident learning incident (ILS) was shown to have had a positive impact on reporting and safety culture within a local health district (LHD). Survey findings correlate with existing literature that ILSs are effective tools for improving patient safety and departmental safety facilitating quality improvement.

A New Hybrid Approach Applying Feature Engineering to Model High Resolution Air Temperature Across Israel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
A hybrid modelling framework that applies feature engineering using the KNN model to estimate high‐resolution air temperature across Israel by integrating meteorological and environmental predictors. ABSTRACT The increasing global planetary temperature, combined with rapid urbanisation, underscores the urgent need to evaluate human exposure to air ...

Timing of ACL injuries during elite male football (soccer) matches—Impact of player position, substitutes, contact mechanisms, possession status and situational pattern: An analysis of 369 ACL injuries

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To document the timing of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries according to match minute and effective minutes played during football matches, considering player position, substitutions, contact mechanism, possession status and situational pattern.

Balance Disorders in Young and Middle‐Aged Adults: NHANES, 2001–2004 and 2021–2023

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
This study presents nationally‐representative estimates from two health exam surveys, NHANES 2001–2004 and 2021–2023. In the two decades between test periods, scores on the modified Romberg screening test for balance function demonstrated significantly better age‐specific performance in 2021–2023.

Value‐Based Neuromonitoring in Thyroidectomy: A Comprehensive Cost–Utility Analysis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the cost–utility of major intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) strategies in thyroidectomy across commercial platforms, and to quantify the impact of continuous IONM (CIONM), automated nerve trend monitoring, postoperative laryngoscopy policy, and technical failure on total episode costs and medicolegal burden.
