Multi-critical points in black hole phase transitions
We present the first examples in black hole thermodynamics of multicritical phase transitions, in which more than three distinct black hole phases merge at a critical point.

A quasi-isodynamic configuration with good confinement of fast ions at low plasma β
A new quasi-isodynamic (QI) stellarator configuration optimized for the confinement of energetic ions at low plasma β is obtained. The numerical optimization is carried out using the STELLOPT suite of codes.

A reduced-turbulence regime in the Large Helical Device upon injection of low-Z materials powders
Recently an improved confinement regime, characterized by reduced turbulent fluctuations has been observed in the Large Helical Device upon the injection of boron powder into the plasma (Nespoli et al 2022 Nat. Phys. 18 350–56).

Ammonia production in a dual crossed atom beam experiment
Production of ammonia by surface reactions of H and N atoms on surfaces not wetted by partially ionized plasma may represent an important technological issue in fusion reactors where puffing nitrogen is employed to cool plasma in the divertor region. The

MHD stability of negative triangularity DIII-D plasmas
Negative triangularity (NT) experiments in DIII-D point to an emergent reactor scenario free of sawteeth, endowed with benign, nondisruptive n = 2 tearing modes, which experience q _min $ \geqslant $ 1 similar to the positive triangularity hybrid ...

Exploring twist-4 chiral-even GPDs in the light-front quark-diquark model
In this work, we delve into the realm of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) by calculating twist-4 chiral-even generalized parton distributions (GPDs), within the context of the light-front quark-diquark model (LFQDM), focusing specifically on the intriguing ...

Anomalous dimensions of twist-two operators in extended N=2 and N=4 super Yang-Mills theories
We perform direct diagrammatic calculations of the anomalous dimensions of twist-two operators in extended N=2 and N=4 super Yang-Mills theories (SYM).

Wilson networks in AdS and global conformal blocks
We develop the relation between gravitational Wilson line networks, defined as a particular product of Wilson line operators averaged over the cap states, and conformal correlators in the context of the AdS2/CFT1 correspondence.
