Size-Dependent Biological Effects of Quercetin Nanocrystals

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Quercetin (QE) is an attractive natural compound for cancer prevention due to its beneficial anti-oxidative and anti-proliferative effects. However, QE is poorly soluble in water and slightly soluble in oil, which results in its low oral bioavailability ...

Efficacy of Qigong Exercise for Treatment of Fatigue: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine, 2021
Objective: Several studies suggested that Qigong exercise (QE) can relieve fatigue in patients diagnosed with various diseases. Our review aimed to evaluate the efficacy of QE for alleviating fatigue. Methods: A related literature search was performed in ...

Wall Street QE vs. Main Street Lending

open access: yesEuropean Economic Review, 2023
Monetary and fiscal authorities reacted swiftly to the COVID-19 pandemic by purchasing assets (or "Wall Street QE") and lending directly to non-financial firms (or "Main Street Lending"). Our paper develops a new framework to compare and contrast these different policies.

In‐Situ Solution Complexation for n‐Type Surface‐Energetics Reconstruction in 2.0 eV Ultra‐Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reactive in situ solution complexation strategy reconstructs the surface of 2.0 eV ultra‐wide‐bandgap perovskites via proton transfer. This chemical modulation eliminates metallic defects and induces a degenerate‐like n‐type surface, establishing an Ohmic tunneling contact.

Energy reconstruction in quasielastic scattering in the MiniBooNE and T2K experiments

open access: yes, 2012
Neutrino oscillation probabilities, which are being measured in long-baseline experiments, depend on neutrino energy. The energy in a neutrino beam, however, is broadly smeared so that the neutrino energy in a particular event is not directly known, but ...

Exiting from QE

open access: yes, 2014
We develop a regime-switching SVAR (structural vector autoregression) in which the monetary policy regime, chosen by the central bank responding to economic conditions, is endogenous and observable. There are two regimes, one of which is QE (quantitative easing). The model can incorporate the exit condition for terminating QE.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Influence of a planar metal nanoparticle assembly on the optical response of a quantum emitter

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We develop an analytical framework to study the influence of a weakly intercoupled in-plane spherical metal nanoparticle (MNP) assembly on a coherently illuminated quantum emitter (QE).

A Compression of Quiet Eye in Children with High and Low Motor Proficiency [PDF]

open access: yesرشد و یادگیری حرکتی ورزشی, 2019
The aim of this study was to compare quiet eye in children with high and low motor proficiency. In this causal-comparative study, 40 children (7 to 14 years old) in Isfahan city were selected by multiple cluster sampling method.

DNN adaptation by automatic quality estimation of ASR hypotheses

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we propose to exploit the automatic Quality Estimation (QE) of ASR hypotheses to perform the unsupervised adaptation of a deep neural network modeling acoustic probabilities.
