QENS and NMR studies of 3-picoline-water solutions
Applied Physics A: Materials Science & Processing, 2002Quasi-elastic neutron scattering measurements were performed on aqueous solutions of 3-picoline (3-methyl- pyridine) at room temperature. H-D substitution on both the solute and the water was used to separate the dynamics of the two species. The analysis of the translational diffusive mo- tion at different concentrations shows that at high picoline ...

Qens experiments on the copper liquid crystalline coordination compound (DOBBA)2Cu
Solid State Communications, 1991Abstract The first quasielastic neutron scattering experiments 〈QENS〉 performed on a non discotic metallo-mesogenes, namely the coordination compound 〈DOBBA〉 2 Cu are reported 〈〈DOBBA〉 2 Cu〉 is the 〈N-〈4-dodecyl-oxy-salicydeneiminate〉-4′-butylanine〉 Copper 〈II〉.

Simple analytical model for fitting QENS data from liquids
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2019Abstract The advent of new generation of neutron spectrometers for quasielastic scattering measurements has demonstrated the need for multi-component (at least two-component) fitting of data collected from liquids. The narrowest component is associated with long-range translational diffusion, whereas the broader component originates from localized ...

QENS study on thermal gelation in aqueous solution of methylcellulose
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2007Dynamics of water and methylcellulose (MC) molecules in MC aqueous solution has been studied by means of quasi-elastic neutron-scattering (QENS) measurements. The dynamic structure factor S(Q,E) of the MC aqueous solution was fitted well to the sum of Lorentzian and delta functions.

Molecular Dynamics in Nematic Phases: QENS and NMR Spectroscopy
1992Molecular dynamics in liquid crystals (particularly smectic and to a lesser extent nematic phases) has been extensively studied by quasi elastic neutron scattering (QENS)1-11 as well as by magnetic relaxation12–17. Nevertheless, these two different techniques have never been combined, probably due to the fact that, quite often, the results obtained did
