Localization properties of a QFT model, consisting of a quantum scalar field interacting linearly with a classical localized source, are investigated using various approaches present in the literature. We evaluate, to any order of the field–matter coupling constant, the time evolution of average values of one-point localization observables and scalar ...

This chapter presents the most important notions and examples of the theory of operator algebras. These are then used to formulate the basic principles of quantum field theory and some examples of algebraic QFTs.

As presaged in Chap. 1, we will primarily be interested in understanding entanglement in holographic field theories. But before we get to this particular set of quantum systems, it is useful to build some intuition in a more familiar setting. In this and the next section, we will therefore focus our attention on getting some insight into the concept of

We review some applications of the abstract theory presented in the preceding chapters in the context of local quantum field theory. The methods developed in Chap. 4 prove to be most efficient to deal with QFT with boundaries, and to classify the boundary conditions.

AbstractThis chapter investigates the anomaly within standard mathematical techniques. It works predominantly in perturbation theory, calculating Feynman diagrams. It shows in detail the occurrence of the anomaly in quantum field theory (QFT) and discusses its meaning.

A Solvable Four-Dimensional QFT
2016We review a sequence of papers in which we show that the quartic matrix model with an external matrix is exactly solvable in terms of the solution of a non-linear integral equation. The interacting scalar model on four-dimensional Moyal space is of this type, and our solution leads to the construction of Schwinger functions.

THIS IS A WORKING DOCUMENT.While some of the scripts are complete, the work is still active.Namely, I'm still working on the complete confinement cycle. Ive include my two recent versions. One has a sim coded and the other does not.Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, happy to help.

Unitarity in noncommutative QFTs
2010The unitarity problem of NCQFT is carefully investigated in this work where it is shown that the original negative result for scalar fields with noncommuting spacetime coordinates is a consequence of the time-ordering not commuting with the Moyalproduct.
