The stress model of rock in the hydraulic fracturing process is developed to study the behavior of hydraulic fracture propagation in strong heterogeneous shale under the coupled action of stress and seepage. In heterogeneous shale reservoirs, strong heterogeneity is the main factor limiting the height propagation of hydraulic fractures.
