Cross-layer QOS design: Overcoming QOS-unaware slot allocation
MILCOM 2008 - 2008 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2008Layer 2 radio resource allocation schemes being used in mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) do not always take into account the quality of service (QoS) requirements of network traffic. As an example, the current USAP (unifying slot assignment protocol) slot allocation scheme is QoS-unaware.

Comparison of QoS Performance between IPv6 QoS Management Model and IntServ and DiffServ QoS Models
3rd Annual Communication Networks and Services Research Conference (CNSR'05), 2005An increasing number of emerging Internet applications require better than best effort quality of service (QoS) that is offered by the current Internet. Applications such as voice over IP (VoIP), video on demand (VoD) and e-commerce applications need end-to-end QoS guarantees defined in terms of throughput, delay and loss rate E.

QoS guarantee using probabilistic deadlines
Proceedings of 11th Euromicro Conference on Real-Time Systems. Euromicro RTS'99, 2003This paper presents a probabilistic approach to guarantee the performance of a real-time system. While traditional real-time system analysis tends to guarantee that each task instance will complete its execution before its absolute deadline (hard guarantee), our approach permits to estimate the probability that it will happen.

QoS Prediction Based on Context-QoS Association Mining
2017Both the functional properties and the non-functional properties (known as quality of service, QoS) should be considered when recommending services. In mobile environment, the services are referred to under different contexts. Context-aware collaborative filtering is often employed to predict the QoS of candidate services when a user submits a service ...

Élaborer un produit logiciel de qualité exige de tenir compte le plus tôt possible des exigences relatives à la qualité. En théorie, le premier endroit où les exigences en matière de qualité peuvent être abordées correspond aux modèles architecturaux du logiciel.

QoS-aware service selection via collaborative QoS evaluation
World Wide Web, 2012We present in this paper a novel collaborative filtering based scheme for evaluating the QoS of large scale Web services. The proposed scheme automates the process of assessing the QoS of a priori unknown service providers and thus facilitates service users in selecting services that best match their QoS requirements.

There is a problem of network resource management to ensure the required level of QoS due to the rapid development and implementation of multiservice networks on bases of virtual channel switching. A way to manage bandwidth and network delays based on the distribution of stocks is proposed.

Improvement of QoS performance in MANET by QoS-TORA: A TORA Based QoS Routing Algorithm
2011Due to the growth of multimedia applications, Quality-of-Service (QoS) is becoming one of the most desirable features of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). However, mobility of nodes, limited bandwidth and highly dynamic nature of network topologies make it difficult to provide QoS support in MANETs.
