Treatment of focal junctional tachycardia using ivabradine in a dog

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract A 10‐year‐old labrador retriever was referred as an emergency due to ascites and lethargy. Physical examination revealed a regular tachycardia at 160 beats per minute with a Grade 3/6, left apical systolic heart murmur. The dog was diagnosed with severe myxomatous mitral valve disease with biventricular congestive heart failure (mild pulmonary

Resolution of third‐degree atrioventricular block after antibiotic therapy in a dog (Canis lupus familiaris) with urinary tract infection

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract A 15‐year‐old, spayed, female Boxer dog presented to an emergency facility for collapsing episodes. Third‐degree atrioventricular block that was non‐responsive to atropine was diagnosed on electrocardiography. Initial diagnostics revealed a concurrent urinary tract infection and renal azotaemia.

Interpolation-Based QR Decomposition in MIMO-OFDM Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
Detection algorithms for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless systems based on orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) typically require the computation of a QR decomposition for each of the data-carrying OFDM tones. The resulting computational complexity will, in general, be significant, as the number of data-carrying tones ranges ...

ECG‐TransCovNet: A hybrid transformer model for accurate arrhythmia detection using Electrocardiogram signals

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Abnormalities in the heart's rhythm, known as arrhythmias, pose a significant threat to global health, often leading to severe cardiac conditions and sudden cardiac deaths. Therefore, early and accurate detection of arrhythmias is crucial for timely intervention and potentially life‐saving treatment.

Two Methods for Decreasing the Computational Complexity of the MIMO ML Decoder [PDF]

open access: yesIEICE Trans. Fundamentals, vol. E87-A, no. 10, pp. 2571-2576, Oct. 2004, 2004
We propose use of QR factorization with sort and Dijkstra's algorithm for decreasing the computational complexity of the sphere decoder that is used for ML detection of signals on the multi-antenna fading channel. QR factorization with sort decreases the complexity of searching part of the decoder with small increase in the complexity required for ...

Cardiac function and coronary plaque development following masculinizing gender‐affirming hormone therapy: A prospective cohort study

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Myocardial dysfunction and the presence of calcified and non‐calcified coronary plaques are predictors of cardiovascular disease. Masculinizing gender‐affirming hormone therapy may increase cardiovascular risk, highlighting the need for prospective studies to evaluate cardiovascular outcomes during gender‐affirming hormone therapy.

Wavelet Transform-Based Analysis of QRS complex in ECG Signals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
In the present paper we have reported a wavelet based time-frequency multiresolution analysis of an ECG signal. The ECG (electrocardiogram), which records hearts electrical activity, is able to provide with useful information about the type of Cardiac disorders suffered by the patient depending upon the deviations from normal ECG signal pattern.
