Surface Reconstruction Induced by Preconditioning in Different Electrolytes Impacts Electrooxidation of Solketal on Multi‐Metal‐Based Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The electrocatalytic activity and stability of CoNiFeCu (1:1:1:0.5) toward glycerol and solketal electrooxidation are strongly impacted by the electrolyte composition used during the catalyst activation. Solketal tends to inhibit oxyhydroxide formation and suppresses Cu leaching, leading to increased activity while also supporting increased production ...

Bayesian ECG reconstruction using denoising diffusion generative models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
In this work, we propose a denoising diffusion generative model (DDGM) trained with healthy electrocardiogram (ECG) data that focuses on ECG morphology and inter-lead dependence. Our results show that this innovative generative model can successfully generate realistic ECG signals.

Necessary and Sufficient Criteria for Gaussian Quantum Teleportation [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Scr. 95 105105 (2020), 2019
Quantum teleportation (QT) serves as one of the building blocks of the current state information science and technology which necessitates proper characterization of the resources yielding QT. While entanglement is known to be the basic requirement to achieve QT, condition of sufficiency for QT still remains an open question.

Factors affecting the electrocardiographic QT interval in malaria: A systematic review and meta-analysis of individual patient data. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
BACKGROUND: Electrocardiographic QT interval prolongation is the most widely used risk marker for ventricular arrhythmia potential and thus an important component of drug cardiotoxicity assessments.

Reservoir‐Type Subcutaneous Implantable Devices Containing Porous Rate Controlling Membranes for Sustained Delivery of Risperidone

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel implantable drug delivery systemwith a biodegradable poly(caprolactone) membrane and compressed drug core forsustained release. These implantable devices deliver risperidone in vitro for 170 days and in vivo for 49 days in rats, showing promise for chronic conditions like schizophrenia.

Time- and rate-dependent alterations of the QT interval precede the onset of torsade de pointes in patients with acquired QT prolongation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Objectives. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the QT interval dynamics that precede torsade de pointes are consistent with the initiation of this arrhythmia by early afterdepolarization-induced triggered activity. Background.

Toward Intrinsically Stretchable OLEDs with High Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective provides a systematic discussion on the challenges and solutions in designing materials for intrinsically stretchable organic light‐emitting diodes (ISOLEDs). It also highlights prospective challenges and offers insights into the development of highly efficient and stable ISOLEDs for practical applications.

Transient Long QT Development in a Patient with Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Emergencies, 2016
QT interval prolongation on the electrocardiogram is considered a precursory sign for imminent, potentially lethal ventricular arrhythmias. Beside the inherited condition of long QT syndrome, numerous drugs, certain electrolyte disturbances and early ...

Prevalence of prolonged QTcinterval in electrocardiograms of 1 -12 year-old seizure patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Background: Children with long QT intervals are prone to life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias which may lead to seizure and syncope and may be misdiagnosed as seizure.

An Analysis of the Relationship Between Preclinical and Clinical QT Interval-Related Data

open access: yesToxicological Sciences, 2017
There has been significant focus on drug-induced QT interval prolongation caused by block of the human ether-a-go-go-related gene (hERG)-encoded potassium channel.
