First‐Line Osimertinib in Patients with EGFR‐Mutant Advanced Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer: Outcome and Safety in the Real World: FLOWER Study

open access: yesThe Oncologist, EarlyView., 2021
Abstract Lessons Learned Osimertinib has confirmed effectiveness in this real‐world population of patients with EGFR‐mutant advanced non‐small cell lung cancer. Thromboembolic events occur more frequently than previously reported, suggesting a thrombotic diathesis that requires further investigation. Patients with at least three metastatic sites, brain

Tailored Core‐Shell Nanocarrier for Therapeutic Drug Delivery via Visible Light Activation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A core‐shell nanocarrier activated by visible light, composed of poly(3‐octylthiophene‐2,5‐diyl) (POT), iron oxide (II, III) (Fe3O4), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and trazodone tetraphenylborate (TRZ+ TPB−). During POT photooxidation (POT+), TRZ+ is liberated driven by the maintenance of particle's electroneutrality.

Association between C-reactive protein, corrected QT interval and presence of QT prolongation in hypertensive patients

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2014
C-reactive protein (CRP) and corrected QT (QTc) interval are predictors of cardiovascular disease. Whether CRP is associated with QTc interval and QT prolongation is unknown in hypertensive patients.

Identification of Patients At-Risk of QT Interval Prolongation during Medication Reviews: A Missed Opportunity?

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Medicine, 2018
The prolongation of the QT interval is a relatively rare but serious adverse drug reaction. It can lead to torsade de pointes, which is potentially life-threatening.

Comprehensive translational assessment of human-induced pluripotent stem cell derived cardiomyocytes for evaluating drug-induced arrhythmias [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC-CM) hold promise for assessment of drug-induced arrhythmias and are being considered for use under the comprehensive in vitro proarrhythmia assay (CiPA).
