Fuzzy Stability of an Additive-Quadratic-Quartic Functional Equation

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2010
Using the fixed point method, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the following additive-quadratic-quartic functional equation: in fuzzy Banach spaces.

Stability of the Quadratic Functional Equation

open access: yes, 1998
The quadratic functional equation $$ f\left( {x + y} \right) + f\left( {x - y} \right) - 2f\left( x \right) - 2f\left( y \right) = 0$$ (3.1) clearly has f(x) = cx2 as a solution with c an arbitrary constant when f is a real function of a real variable.

Scaling, decoupling and transversality of the gluon propagator

open access: yes, 2010
In this note we discuss a couple of technical issues relevant to solving the Dyson-Schwinger equation for the gluon propagator in Landau gauge Yang-Mills theory.

Linear Quadratic Stochastic Optimal Control Problems with Operator Coefficients: Open-Loop Solutions

open access: yes, 2019
An optimal control problem is considered for linear stochastic differential equations with quadratic cost functional. The coefficients of the state equation and the weights in the cost functional are bounded operators on the spaces of square integrable ...

Alginate‐Sludge Derived Biochar‐Calcium Hydrogel for Phosphate Removal and Slow‐Release Fertilizer: A Sustainable and Multifunctional Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An alginate‐based biochar hydrogel (ABC‐hydrogel), derived from sewage sludge, is developed for simultaneous phosphate removal and agricultural reuse. It captures phosphorus from water and gradually releases it as fertilizer, enhancing lettuce growth.

Towards High‐Acuity Vision Restoration: Hybrid Retinal Prosthesis Composed of a High‐Density Multielectrode Array Integrated With Glutamatergic Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a novel Hybrid Retinal Implant (HRI), composed of a high‐density electrode array integrated with glutamatergic neurons to overcome key limitations of current retinal prostheses. The significant reduction of activation threshold and of electrode cross‐talk yields in an improved spatial resolution.

Zero-sum linear quadratic stochastic integral games and BSVIEs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper formulates and studies a linear quadratic (LQ for short) game problem governed by linear stochastic Volterra integral equation. Sufficient and necessary condition of the existence of saddle points for this problem are derived. As a consequence

SMaRT Stacking: A Methodology to Produce Optimally Layered EMI Shields with Maximal Green Index Using Fused Deposition Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shields consisting of polylactic acid (PLA) in layers with different concentrations of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) are produced using additive manufacturing. The permittivity function of layers with different filler concentrations is learned using data of homogeneous and randomly ordered shields.

Quadratic Mean Field Games

open access: yes, 2018
Mean field games were introduced independently by J-M. Lasry and P-L. Lions, and by M. Huang, R.P. Malham\'e and P. E. Caines, in order to bring a new approach to optimization problems with a large number of interacting agents.
