Objective This study aimed to investigate hand function trajectories over five years in primary hand osteoarthritis (OA). Additionally, determinants of baseline and longitudinal hand function were assessed. Methods A total of 538 patients with both baseline and five‐year study visits were analyzed.

The locus coeruleus is critical for selective information processing by modulating the brain’s connectivity configuration. Increasingly, studies have suggested that LC controls sensory inputs at the sensory gating stage.

GENERALIZED QUADRATIC MAPPINGS IN 2d VARIABLES [PDF]
Summary: Let \(X, Y\) be vector spaces. It is shown that if an even mapping \(f:X \rightarrow Y\) satisfies \(f(0)=0\), and \[ \begin{aligned} & 2(_{2d-2} C_{d-1} -_{2d-2} C_d) f \left(\sum_{j=1}^{2d} x_j \right) + \displaystyle\sum_{i(j) = 0,1, \sum_{j=1}^{2d} i(j)=d} f \left(\sum_{j=1}^{2d} (-1)^{ i(j)} x_j \right) \\ & = 2(_{2d-1} C_d +_{2d-2} C_{d ...

Discordance Between Patient and Physician Global Assessments in Early Systemic Sclerosis
Objective This study aims to identify factors associated with patient global assessment (PtGA) and physician global assessment (PhGA) and discordance between them in systemic sclerosis (SSc). Methods Data from adults with early SSc (<5 years) from the Collaborative National Quality and Efficacy Registry were included.

Discrete Lorenz attractors of new types in three-dimensional maps with axial symmetry
We propose a new class of quadratic three-dimensional maps with the axial symmetry and constant Jacobian that is additional to the well-known class of quadratic three-dimensional Hénon maps.

Digital mapping of solonchak complexes using Sentinel-2A data [PDF]
Land salinization is an up-to-date issue being broadly studied all over the world. In Russia, salinization processes are predominantly observed in the southern regions, where the main areas of arable land are situated. This research is devoted to mapping

Degeneration of quadratic polynomial endomorphisms to a Henon map [PDF]
For an algebraic family $(f_t)$ of regular quadratic polynomial endomorphisms of $\mathbb{C}^2$ parametrized by $\mathbb{D}^*$ and degenerating to a Hénon map at $t=0$, we study the continuous (and indeed harmonic) extendibility across $t=0$ of a potential of the bifurcation current on $\mathbb{D}^*$ with the explicit computation of the non-archimedean

Objective Studies of damage accrual in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) show associations with disease activity measured by the SLE Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI‐2K), but these associations are imperfect. SLEDAI scores are powerfully influenced by weightings (1–8) assigned to each domain.

Better Process Mapping and Sparse Quadratic Assignment [PDF]
Communication and topology-aware process mapping is a powerful approach to reduce communication time in parallel applications with known communication patterns on large, distributed memory systems. We address the problem as a quadratic assignment problem (QAP) and present algorithms to construct initial mappings of processes to processors and fast ...

State maps from bilinear differential forms [PDF]
State equations need often to be constructed from a higher-order model of a system, resulting for example from the interconnection of subsystems, or from system identification procedures.
