A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Linear Hamiltonian behaviors and bilinear differential forms [PDF]
We study linear Hamiltonian systems using bilinear and quadratic differential forms. Such a representation-free approach allows us to use the same concepts and techniques to deal with systems isolated from their environment and with systems subject to ...

Genus one Belyi maps by quadratic correspondences [PDF]
We present a method of obtaining a Belyi map on an elliptic curve from that on the Riemann sphere. This is done by writing the former as a radical of the latter, which we call a quadratic correspondence, with the radical determining the elliptic curve ...

This work studies the anisotropic behavior of circular notched tensile specimens of Ni‐base superalloy single crystals during high‐temperature tensile creep along [001], [110], and [111]. Correlative scale‐bridging imaging of specimens reveals early rupture along [110] because 1) plastic deformation proceeds faster at notch center; 2) more (brittle ...

General Construction Method and Proof for a Class of Quadratic Chaotic Mappings
The importance of chaotic systems as the main pseudo-random cryptographic generator of encryption algorithms in the field of communication secrecy cannot be overstated, but in practical applications, researchers often choose to build upon traditional ...

On Anonymization of Cocks' Identity-based Encryption Scheme [PDF]
Cocks' identity-based encryption (IBE) scheme is the first IBE scheme that avoids the use of bilinear maps. Based on quadratic residues and due to its simplicity, the scheme gained much attention from researchers.

Coinductive Formal Reasoning in Exact Real Arithmetic [PDF]
In this article we present a method for formally proving the correctness of the lazy algorithms for computing homographic and quadratic transformations -- of which field operations are special cases-- on a representation of real numbers by coinductive ...

Quadratic Displacement Maps for Heightmap Rendering
We present a higher-order representation of heightfields by constructing unbounding revolved parabolas about every texel of the height texture. These surfaces of revolution do not intersect the interior of the volume defined by the heightfield. We present a simple generation algorithm and show that these maps can be rendered by computing intersections ...

Design and Analysis of Compression–Torsion Coupling Metamaterials Using the Golden Section Method
A novel compression–torsion metamaterial is engineered using inclined rods and symmetry breaking. To optimize its torsional performance, the golden section method is employed. The mechanical response of the metamaterial is validated through both numerical analysis and experimental validation.
