Adaptation of the SAGEFS scale on attitudes toward gender equality in football in the international school context

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
The objective of the present study is to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Scale of Attitudes toward Gender Equality in Football in the Context of Schools (SAGEFS) in the international context. This sample was formed by N = 6,101 students.

On power means of positive quadratic forms

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 1984
AbstractSome power means of positive definite quadratic forms are closely related to the fundamental scalar functions of the matrix associated with the quadratic form. This relation can (among other things) be used to give new proofs of some of the classical matrix inequalities.

Emergent Motility of Self‐Organized Particle‐Giant Unilamellar Vesicle Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs), when combined with silica particles under alternating electric fields, spontaneously self‐assemble into motile structures. Asymmetric particle decoration induces fluid flows that propel the assemblies, enabling persistent motion and reversible control.

Adaptive Twisting Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces torque‐controlled twisting metamaterials as a transformative platform for adaptive crashworthiness. By combining multiscale predictive modeling with experimental validation on additively manufactured gyroids, it demonstrates tunable stiffness, collapse stress, and energy absorption.

Perspective: OLED Displays Singing with the Blues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
While blue pixels consume approximately 50% of the energy of OLED display front planes, in the 25 years since their invention, 100% internal efficiency triplet‐controlled phosphorescent OLEDs have not met the stability standards necessary for their adoption.

Field‐Free, Deterministic Giant Spin‐Orbit Torque Switching of 1.3 T Perpendicular Magnetization With Symmetry‐Lifted Topological Surface States

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We show a giant, bias‐field free, deterministic, spin‐orbit‐torque switching of perpendicular hard magnets with HC over 1.3 T. By combining the three‐fold 3m symmetry from topological insulator surface states with the rectangular mm2 symmetry from the 2 x 1 intercalation in Cr3Te4, the interface symmetry is significantly reduced into a unidirectional m

Operator quadratic mean and positive linear maps

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Inequalities
Summary: This paper presents several bounds for unital positive linear mappings and the socalled quadratic mean. Some of these results can be viewed as sub-multiplicative inequalities, while others are Cauchy-Schwarz-type inequalities. Related results that treat the tensor products will be presented, too.

Toward a Consensus Characterization Protocol for Organic Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We advocate a common consensus on accurate and standardized reporting of performance metrics in the field of organic thermoelectrics. We summarize prevalent issues in the literature and propose a pre‐submission checklist to support the publication of reproducible results.

Meissner Effect and Nonreciprocal Charge Transport in Non‐Topological 1T‐CrTe2/FeTe Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates interface‐induced superconductivity (Tc ∼12 K) with a robust Meissner effect and pronounced nonreciprocal transport in epitaxial 1T‐CrTe2/FeTe heterostructures, where 1T‐CrTe2 is a 2D ferromagnet, and FeTe is an antiferromagnetic metal.
