Coaxial melt electrowriting is established to produce dual‐property microfibers with diameters spanning 1.6–29.2 µm. Stable coaxial laminar flow is preserved under electrohydrodynamic thinning, enabling controlled binary and gradient material switching within individual continuous fibers.

Large Faraday rotation at room temperature is observed in thin films of discotic copper (Cu2+: 3d9) and vanadyl (VO2+: 3d1) enaminoketone complexes. The large Verdet constant originates from a high density of paramagnetic centers, metal‐ligand p−d hybridization and π orbitals involved in optical transitions (identified by DFT calculations), as well as ...

Negatively charged boron vacancy defects in hexagonal boron nitride promise near‐surface quantum sensing, but their internal spin transition rates are only partly understood. This work directly measures the defect's singlet‐state lifetime, 15(3) ns, using a nanosecond rise‐time dual‐pulse photoluminescence‐recovery method, and shows that high laser ...

Non-convex mixed-integer nonlinear programming : a survey [PDF]
A wide range of problems arising in practical applications can be formulated as Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programs (MINLPs). For the case in which the objective and constraint functions are convex, some quite effective exact and heuristic algorithms are ...

On Quadratic Programming with a Ratio Objective
Quadratic Programming (QP) is the well-studied problem of maximizing over { − 1,1} values the quadratic form ∑ i ≠ j a ij x i x j . QP captures many known combinatorial optimization problems, and assuming the Unique Games conjecture, Semidefinite ...

Interference Alignment using Quadratic Programming
:Interference alignment (IA) in the multi-user MIMO interference channel with constant channel coefficients was considered. An iterative algorithm for finding the interference alignment solutions was proposed for the case where all interference alignment

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.

Tableau-based protein substructure search using quadratic programming
Background Searching for proteins that contain similar substructures is an important task in structural biology. The exact solution of most formulations of this problem, including a recently published method based on tableaux, is too slow for practical ...
