In-Phase/Quadrature Signatures of a Very LowFrequency Electromagnetic Survey for the Delineation of Cassiterite at Rafin Bareda, DutsenWai, Kaduna State, Nigeria [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Access, 2023
The VLF-EM geophysical technique was used to delineate the zones of cassiterite at Rafin Bareda, Dutsen-Wai, Kubau Local Government area of Kaduna State, Nigeria which is located at Latitudes 10°51'46''N and Longitudes18°12'50''E.

On classical symmetries of ordinary differential equations related to stationary integrable partial differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2021
We study the relationship between the solutions of stationary integrable partial and ordinary differential equations and coefficients of the second-order ordinary differential equations invariant with respect to one-parameter Lie group.

A hierarchical Bayesian approach for calibration of stochastic material models

open access: yesData-Centric Engineering, 2021
This article recasts the traditional challenge of calibrating a material constitutive model into a hierarchical probabilistic framework. We consider a Bayesian framework where material parameters are assigned distributions, which are then updated given ...

Fully Legendre spectral collocation technique for stochastic heat equations

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2021
For the stochastic heat equation (SHE), a very accurate spectral method is considered. To solve the SHE, we suggest using a shifted Legendre Gauss–Lobatto collocation approach in combination with a shifted Legendre Gauss–Radau collocation technique.

DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING OF THE MODIFIED SIMPSON’S RULE FOR DISCRETE ORDINATES TRANSPORT APPLICATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2021
A new angular quadrature type termed Modified Simpson Trapezoidal (MST) is developed based on the conventional Simpson’s 1/3 rule where the angular pattern over polar levels has a trapezoid shape. An adaptive coefficient correction scheme is developed to

Exactness of Quadrature Formulas [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Review, 2022
The standard design principle for quadrature formulas is that they should be exact for integrands of a given class, such as polynomials of a fixed degree. We show how this principle fails to predict the actual behavior in four cases: Newton-Cotes, Clenshaw-Curtis, Gauss-Legendre, and Gauss-Hermite quadrature.

A randomized trapezoidal quadrature [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2021
A randomised trapezoidal quadrature rule is proposed for continuous functions which enjoys less regularity than commonly required. Indeed, we consider functions in some fractional Sobolev space. Various error bounds for this randomised rule are established while an error bound for classical trapezoidal quadrature is obtained for comparison.

RBF Based Quadrature on the Sphere

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2022
The paper describes a new RBF-FD based technique to compute quadrature weights on the sphere. In the proposed method, the sphere is divided into rectangles in the latitude-azimuth coordinate system, and the function is integrated over each rectangle ...

Legendre Spectral Collocation Technique for Advection Dispersion Equations Included Riesz Fractional

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2021
The advection–dispersion equations have gotten a lot of theoretical attention. The difficulty in dealing with these problems stems from the fact that there is no perfect answer and that tackling them using local numerical methods is tough.

Design and Optimization of an Ultra-Low-Power Cross-Coupled LC VCO with a DFF Frequency Divider for 2.4 GHz RF Receivers Using 65 nm CMOS Technology

open access: yesJournal of Low Power Electronics and Applications, 2023
This article presents the design and optimization of a tunable quadrature differential LC CMOS voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with a D flip-flop (DFF) frequency divider.
