Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.

XOR‐Logic Phase Coding Programmable Metasurface for Low Power‐Consumption Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By leveraging XOR logic, the biasing‐network complexity of 2D programmable metasurfaces is reduced from m×n to m+n through efficient row‐column control. This enables versatile functions including beam deflection and beamforming, facilitating applications in wireless communications and beyond.

Sharp Integral Inequalities Based on a General Four-Point Quadrature Formula via a Generalization of the Montgomery Identity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2012
We consider families of general four-point quadrature formulae using a generalization of the Montgomery identity via Taylor’s formula. The results are applied to obtain some sharp inequalities for functions whose derivatives belong to 𝐿𝑝 spaces ...

A Perturbed Milne’s Quadrature Rule for n-Times Differentiable Functions with Lp-Error Estimates

open access: yesAxioms, 2023
In this work, a perturbed Milne’s quadrature rule for n-times differentiable functions with Lp-error estimates is derived. One of the most important advantages of our result is that it is verified for p-variation and Lipschitz functions.

Design for flexibility: An adjustable robust optimization approach with decision‐dependent uncertainty

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Flexibility is a crucial characteristic of industrial systems that face increasing volatilities and is therefore essential to ensure feasible operation under uncertainty. Flexibility is often closely tied to the design of a system, and careful consideration must be taken to understand the trade‐off between design cost and operational ...

A Numerical Solution for the Lifting Surface Integral Equation [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2014
In this paper, we present a new numerical treatment of the lifting surface integral equation (LSIE) in the case of rectangular wing planform. The kernel of this equation possesses a strong singularity in Hadamard sense. First the equation is transformed

Thermal noise and oscillations of photon distribution for squeezed and correlated light

open access: yes, 1993
The oscillations of photon distribution function for squeezed and correlated light are shown to decrease when the temperature increases. The influence of the squeezing parameter and photon quadrature correlation coefficient on the photon distribution ...

Spline quadrature formulas

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 1984
Quadrature formulae for splines with equispaced knots are developed in this paper. For special classes of splines, some simple explicit expressions for the weights in the quadrature formulae in terms of the zeros of the Euler-Frobenius polynomials are given and it is shown that these weights are positive. Some quadrature formulae are derived.

Advanced Virtual Impedance for Power‐Sharing Improvement in Microgrids Using Different SOGI Methods: A Comparative Study

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
Advanced virtual impedance control integrating multiple second‐order generalized integrator (SOGI) variants—SOGI, ESOGI, MSOGI, and DSOGI—enhances power and harmonic sharing accuracy in islanded microgrids. The comparative study quantifies performance–complexity trade‐offs, demonstrating up to 65% total harmonic distortion (THD) reduction and improved ...

Vibration analysis of airfoil on hereditary deformable suspensions [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
This paper describes the analyses of the nonlinear vibrations and dynamic stability of an airfoil on hereditary-deformable suspensions. The model is based on two-degree-of-freedom structure in geometrically nonlinear statements. It provides justification
