KNN BASED CLASSIFICATION OF DIGITAL MODULATED SIGNALS

open access: yesInternational Islamic University Malaysia Engineering Journal, 2016
Demodulation process without the knowledge of modulation scheme requires Automatic Modulation Classification (AMC). When receiver has limited information about received signal then AMC become essential process. AMC finds important place in the field many

50-Gb/s silicon quadrature phase-shift keying modulator

open access: yesOptics Express, 2012
We report the first successful demonstration of quadrature phase-shift keying (QPSK) modulation using two nested silicon Mach-Zehnder modulators. 50-Gb/s QPSK signal is generated with only 2.7-dB optical signal-to-noise ratio penalties from the theoretical limit at a bit-error ratio of 10(-3).

Compact Low-Power-Consumption 28-Gbaud QPSK/16-QAM Integrated Silicon Photonic/Electronic Coherent Receiver

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
We demonstrate the codesign and cointegration of an ultracompact silicon photonic receiver and a low-power-consumption (155 mW/channel) two-channel linear transimpedance amplifier array.

OFDM With Double Quadrature Signed Index Shift Keying

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Spectral, and energy-efficient, communication is essential for the current and future wireless communication generations. Therefore a novel OFDM with double quadrature signed index shift keying (OFDM-DQSISK) is proposed.

Scheme for differential quadrature phase-shift keying/quadrature phase-shift keying signal all-optical regeneration based on phase-sensitive amplification

open access: yesIET Optoelectronics, 2009
The performance of a scheme for all-optical regeneration of differential quadrature phase-shift keying (DQPSK) and quadrature phase-shift keying signals using phase-sensitive amplifiers (PSAs) is investigated through numerical simulation. The results show that both phase and amplitude noises of 40 Gb/s RZ-DQPSK signals are significantly suppressed ...

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF MIMO-SPACE TIME BLOCK CODING WITH DIFFERENT MODULATION TECHNIQUES [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Communication Technology, 2012
MIMO Diversity is the technique which takes the advantage of multipath and mitigates the effect of fading and increases signal strength. Space Time Block code (STBC) is used in Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system to improve the performance by ...

Phase Transparent Demultiplexer for QPSK Signal Based on Nonlinear Response in a Double-Pass Architecture

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
We propose and experimentally demonstrate an optical modulation format converter from a 25-Gbps quadrature phase-shift keying (QPSK) signal to two 12.5-Gbps binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) signals in a double-pass configuration, which is achieved by ...

A Unified Theory of Intrachannel Nonlinearity in Pseudolinear Phase-Modulated Transmission

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2010
It is shown that the phase distribution of the field and the detection scheme strongly affect the strength of the nonlinear impairments in phase-modulated transmission systems.

All-Optical Format Conversion for Rectangular 8QAM Signals Based on Phase-Sensitive Amplification and Nonlinear Mach-Zehnder Interferometer

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
An all-optical format conversion (AOFC) scheme for the input 30 Gbit/s rectangular 8-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (8QAM) signal is proposed and numerically investigated based on phase-sensitive amplification (PSA) and nonlinear Mach-Zehnder ...

Demonstrating Doubly-Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying in the Optical Domain [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2013
We report for the first time the experimental demonstration of doubly differential quadrature phase shift keying (DDQPSK) using optical coherent detection. This method is more robust against high frequency offsets (FO) than conventional single differential quadrature phase shift keying (SDQPSK) with offset compensation.
