Design Method for a Broadband Quadrature Signal Generator

Proceedings of Universities. ELECTRONICS, 2020
There are certain difficulties in the development of a broadband generator of quadrature signals (QSG) on a SiGe BiCMOS technology. The problem of linearity and broadband matching is the most difficult to solve. When designing QSG in a wide frequency band, there is a problem of forming a quadrature signal using traditional solutions using a polyphase ...

Improved observer-based quadrature signal generator

Electrical Engineering, 2021
In this paper, an improved quadrature signal generator (QSG) parameter tuning procedure is proposed, based on a modification of an existing adaptive observer QSG algorithm. Namely, in the existing solution an observer-based QSG is proposed with a parameter tuning procedure that results in a bandwidth frequency equal to the QSG input signal frequency ...

A quadrature network for generating vestigial-sideband signals

Proceedings of the IEE Part B: Electronic and Communication Engineering, 1960
The paper describes a method of generating approximately a quadrature signal from a given signal using a linear network comprising a tapped delay line. It is shown that a vestigial-sideband signal free from phase distortion can be produced by this means.

Precise Quadrature Signal Generation by Sampling

2003
As mentioned in Chapter two, digital wireless receivers require quadrature demodulation schemes to keep both amplitude and phase information of the received signal. Quadrature demodulation in digital domain was originally referred as quadrature sampling, a concept introduced by Grace and Pitt [1].

Four-stage ring oscillator for quadrature signal generation

2008 International Conference on Signals and Electronic Systems, 2008
Quadrature oscillators are effective for clock recovery circuits, complex signal processing, etc. In this report, two new quadrature oscillator circuits based on tetrahedral oscillators are proposed. The proposed quadrature oscillators are simulated and tested by the breadboard circuit in order to verify their electrical performances.

Digital generation of signal quadrature for synthetic aperture radiometers

IEEE 1999 International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. IGARSS'99 (Cat. No.99CH36293), 2003
A study of digital signal processing techniques for generating signal quadrature in synthetic aperture radiometers with difference equations derived from digital systems using finite impulse response (FIR) filters is presented. In one system block diagram, the FIR is a low pass filter; and in the other, the FIR is a Hilbert transform.

An Open-Loop Half-Quadrature Hybrid for Multiphase Signals Generation

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2012
In this paper, a passive half-quadrature hybrid (HQH) is presented for multiphase signal generation at radio frequencies. Utilizing capacitance ratios as the primary design parameters, the proposed hybrid exhibits excellent magnitude and phase balance even in the presence of process and temperature variations.

Level-locked loop: a technique for broadband quadrature signal generation

Proceedings of CICC 97 - Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, 2002
A method for precise wideband quadrature signal generation is presented. A divide-by-2 stage forms an adjustable phase quadrature signal generator. Its output phase error is converted to an error signal, which feeds back to the quadrature signal generator through an integrator, to correct the output phase difference. Using this method, a phase accuracy
