This paper reports the research work carried out with the goal of geometrically and algebraically describing, as well as topologically classifying, the curves resulting from the intersection of a torus with families of parabolic and elliptical cylinders ...

Abstract Among the Porphyridium genus, Porphyridium marinum exhibits the highest phycoerythrin (PE) content. In this study, the metabolic trade‐off between biomass, PE, and sulfated exopolysaccharide (EPS) production was assessed under varying nitrogen and sulfur availability, light intensity, residence time, and cultivation mode.

Non-existence of quasi-symmetric designs having certain pseudo-geometric block graphs
The block graph of a quasi-symmetric design is strongly regular. It is a challenging problem to decide which strongly regular graphs are block graphs of quasi-symmetric designs.

ABSTRACT In this paper, we study and characterise the natural embedding of the twisted triality hexagon T ( q 3 , q ) ${\mathsf{T}}({q}^{3},q)$ in PG ( 7 , q 3 ) ${\mathsf{PG}}(7,{q}^{3})$. We begin by describing the possible intersections of subspaces of PG ( 7 , q 3 ) ${\mathsf{PG}}(7,{q}^{3})$ with T ( q 3 , q ) ${\mathsf{T}}({q}^{3},q)$.

Signed Projective Cubes, a Homomorphism Point of View
ABSTRACT The (signed) projective cubes, as a special class of graphs closely related to the hypercubes, are on the crossroad of geometry, algebra, discrete mathematics and linear algebra. Defined as Cayley graphs on binary groups, they represent basic linear dependencies.

Some Notes about Arrangements of Points on Quadrics
It is considered the minimization of a quadratic polynomial on the set of all points of a multidimensional space, coordinates of which are either zero or one. Some restrictions are imposed on the arrangement of the minimum points when there are many such

Noncommutative quadric surfaces
The 4-dimensional Sklyanin algebra is the homogeneous coordinate ring of a noncommutative analogue of projective 3-space. The degree-two component of the algebra contains a 2-dimensional subspace of central elements. The zero loci of those central elements, except 0, form a pencil of noncommutative quadric surfaces.

Basis Networks: Learning basis functions for free‐form triangulations
Abstract We present a framework for learning compactly supported basis functions that define tangent continuous surfaces based on coarse irregular triangle meshes. The basis functions are represented as MLPs. Smoothness of the basis functions is achieved by using the values of Loop basis functions as the parameterization of the surface.

Rational rolling ball blending of natural quadrics
We construct a blending surface of two natural quadrics using rational variable rolling ball approach, i.e. as a canal surface with a rational spine curve and a rational radius. All general positions of the given quadric surfaces are considered.

Self‐supervised Learning of Fine‐to‐Coarse Cuboid Shape Abstraction
Abstract The abstraction of 3D objects with simple geometric primitives like cuboids allows us to infer structural information from complex geometry. It is important for 3D shape understanding, structural analysis and geometric modeling. We introduce a novel fine‐to‐coarse self‐supervised learning approach to abstract collections of 3D shapes.
