Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Learning Spatial Density Functions of Random Waypoint Mobility over Irregular Triangles and Convex Quadrilaterals

open access: yesMathematics
For the optimization and performance evaluation of mobile ad hoc networks, a beneficial but challenging act is to derive from nodal movement behavior the steady-state spatial density function of nodal locations over a given finite area.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

A novel lithium copper iron phosphate with idealized formula Li5Cu22+Fe3+(PO4)4: crystal structure and distribution of defects

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2011
Gray–green single crystals were obtained under high-pressure, high-temperature hydrothermal conditions. A refinement of atom occupancies gave the composition Li3.68Cu2+Fe3+(Cu0.55Li0.45)2Fe2+0.15(PO4)4.

Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.

Transitive sets and cyclic quadrilaterals

open access: yes, 2020
Motivated by some questions in Euclidean Ramsey theory, our aim in this note is to show that there exists a cyclic quadrilateral that does not embed into any transitive set (in any dimension).

Spectral method on quadrilaterals

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we investigate the spectral method on quadrilaterals. We introduce an orthogonal family of functions induced by Legendre polynomials, and establish some results on the corresponding orthogonal approximation.

Tough, Ductile, and Strong Hard‐Soft Cementitious Composite Enabled by Multi‐Material Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Effect of technology-enriched learning environment on academic achievement of seventh-grade students in quadrilaterals

open access: yesAnadolu Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi dergisi
This research examined the effect of a technology-enriched classroom environment on achievement and retention in quadrilaterals of seventh graders. The quasi-experimental design of quantitative research with a pre-test/post-test matched control group was
