Theoretical Description of Energy Spectra and Quadrupole Transition Probabilities of 190 Hg

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2018
In this paper, we have considered thecoexistence of two quite different structures, the deformed and sphericalshapes in 190Hg nucleus. To this aim, we have determined the energyspectra and quadrupole transition probabilities of this nucleus.

Collective Quadrupole Excitations in Transitional Nuclei [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica Scripta, 2000
The generalized Bohr Hamiltonian was used to describe the low-lying collective excitations in even-even isotopes of Ru, Pd, Te, Ba and Nd. The Strutinsky collective potential and cranking inertial functions were obtained using the Nilsson potential. The effect of coupling with the pairing vibrations is taken into account approximately when determining ...

Ωcγ→Ωc⁎ transition in lattice QCD

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
We study the electromagnetic Ωcγ→Ωc⁎ transition in 2+1 flavor lattice QCD, which gives access to the dominant decay mode of Ωc⁎ baryon. The magnetic dipole and the electric quadrupole transition form factors are computed.

Generate localized optical vortices by quadrupole transition and twisted light

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2021
We explain how quadrupole-active atomic interactions be able to be enhanced once the neutral atom interacts with an evanescent winding light modes.

Quadrupole moments of odd-A 53−63Mn: Onset of collectivity towards N=40

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
The spectroscopic quadrupole moments of the odd–even Mn isotopes between N=28 and N=38 have been measured using bunched-beam collinear laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE, CERN.

Microscopic description of quadrupole-octupole coupling in Sm and Gd isotopes with the Gogny Energy Density Functional [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The interplay between the collective dynamics of the quadrupole and octupole deformation degree of freedom is discussed in a series of Sm and Gd isotopes both at the mean field level and beyond, including parity symmetry restoration and configuration ...

Triaxial quadrupole deformation dynamics in sd-shell nuclei around 26Mg [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Large-amplitude dynamics of axial and triaxial quadrupole deformation in 24,26Mg, 24Ne, and 28Si is investigated on the basis of the quadrupole collective Hamiltonian constructed with use of the constrained Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov plus the local ...

Abnormal field-dependence of magnetocaloric effect in ErB4 and TmB4

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
The coupled system of multi-degrees of freedom, such as charge, spin, orbital and lattice, has recently received much attention due to its potential to improve the magnetocaloric effect (MCE).

Surface-enhanced pair transfer in quadrupole states of neutron-rich Sn isotopes

open access: yes, 2010
We investigate the neutron pair transfer modes associated with the low-lying quadrupole states in neutron-rich Sn isotopes by means of the quasiparticle random phase approximation based on the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov mean field model.

Transition quadrupole moments in superdeformed bands

open access: yesPhysics of Atomic Nuclei, 2000
We propose a method to select core and cluster in a binary component description of atomic nuclei. The choice is based on the mismatch between measured binding energies and the underlying trend supplied by the liquid drop model. A key point is that the charge to mass ratios of parent, core, and cluster should be as nearly equal as possible.
