Branching Markov chains: Qualitative characteristics
1997The paper considers Galton-Watson branching processes on a countable type space with the special feature that the types within a family are selected independently given the parent's type. There is a (non-periodic, irreducible) Markov matrix on the type space that prescribes how to choose the type of a child given the type of her parent.
