Objective Knee osteoarthritis (OA) commonly affects individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and is associated with increased risk of diabetes‐related complications. To better understand potential mechanisms, we examined the association between symptomatic knee OA and glycemic control in individuals with T2DM.

Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Associations of Sleep and Shift Work With Osteoarthritis Risk
Objective Daily rhythms may be critical for maintaining homeostasis of joint tissues. We aimed to investigate the relationships among circadian clock disruption, sleep, and osteoarthritis (OA) risk in humans. Methods In the UK Biobank, a prospective 500,000–person cohort, we evaluated associations among sleep duration, sleeplessness/insomnia, and shift

Objective Somatic items used in depression assessments can potentially overlap with symptoms related to physical illness, including systemic sclerosis (SSc). No studies have looked at whether somatic depression items may be influenced by diffuse versus limited SSc disease subtypes, which are associated with varying degrees of symptom presentation.

Quality of Service (QoS) is a broad term used to describe the overall experience a user or application will receive over a network. QoS involves a broad range of technologies, architecture, and protocols. Network operators achieve end-to-end QoS by ensuring that network elements apply consistent treatment to traffic flow as they traverse the network.

Quality of Service and Resource Management are basic concepts and central focus in multimedia systems. Data of continuous media needs real-time processing, communication and presentation to delivery their desired media quality to the user. Hence, the overall system, i.e., each computing and communication service component in the end-to-end path must ...

Constraint-based routing is an invaluable part of a full- fledged Quality of Service architecture. Unfortunately, QoS routing with multiple additive constraints is known to be a NP-complete problem. Hence, accurate constraint-based routing algorithms with a fast running time are scarce, perhaps even non-existent.

The interpretation and definition of service quality and its classes is first presented. While there are four classes of service in Fixed WiMAX (unsolicited granted service, real-time polling service, non-real-time polling service and best effort) in Mobile WiMAX there is an extra class: extend real-time polling service.
