Rietveld quantitative amorphous content analysis

Journal of Applied Crystallography, 2001
A procedure for Rietveld quantitative amorphous content analysis (RQACA) is outlined, in which the effects of systematic errors in the powder patterns are studied. The method derives the amorphous content from the small overestimation of an internal crystalline standard in a Rietveld refinement of an appropriate mixture.

Methodological issues in the Quantitative Analysis of Dream Content

Journal of Personality Assessment, 1981
Reviews measurement approaches applied to dream reports and proposes some methodological cautions that may result in more effective utilization of the dream report in research and assessment. Standardization of dream collection techniques and controls for variability in the length of dream reports are suggested.

A Low Effort Approach to Quantitative Content Analysis

2015
We propose a workflow for an individual sociologist to be able to use quantitative content analysis in small-scale short-term research projects. The key idea of the approach is to generate a domain-oriented dictionary for researchers with limited resources. The workflow starts like a typical one and then deviates to include content analysis. First, the

Quantitative analysis of biofilm EPS uronic acid content

Journal of Microbiological Methods, 2007
The uronic acids assay was evaluated for its ability to measure the amount of uronic acids contained within a biofilm exopolysaccharide matrix. Cytophaga lytica, a marine bacterium isolated from a naturally occurring biofilm, was used to form single-species biofilms for the method assessment.

The Quantitative Content Analysis of Judicial Opinions

Political Research, Organization and Design, 1960
Some rules of law can be restated in quantitative terms. Their quantitative restatement provides a precise understanding of their meaning, which cannot be obtained from their conventional verbal statement, and it permits predictions about their application that-without a reliance on their quantitative formulation—are precluded.

A Quantitative Analysis of the Impact of Arbitrary Blockchain Content on Bitcoin

2018
Blockchains primarily enable credible accounting of digital events, e.g., money transfers in cryptocurrencies. However, beyond this original purpose, blockchains also irrevocably record arbitrary data, ranging from short messages to pictures. This does not come without risk for users as each participant has to locally replicate the complete blockchain,
