QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF CHEST PAIN
Acta Medica Scandinavica, 1981ABSTRACT.The perception of pain in three groups of patients with angina pectoris has been studied. All patients went through a bicycle ergometer test with an increase of 10 watt each minute. Heart rates and ratings of pain were collected towards the end of each work load. Reliable results of diagnostic interest were obtained.

Physicality quantitative evaluation method
Proceedings of the 25th Australian Computer-Human Interaction Conference: Augmentation, Application, Innovation, Collaboration, 2013The physical interaction aspects of embedded systems have been neglected in comparison to internal software issues in the software engineering field. Physical interfaces suffer from interaction complexities leading to usage difficulty and poor acceptance by the end-users.

Quantitative evaluation of dermatological antiseptics
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, 2015Topical antiseptics are frequently used in dermatological management, yet evidence for the efficacy of traditional generic formulations is often largely anecdotal. We tested the in vitro bactericidal activity of four commonly used topical antiseptics against Staphylococcus aureus, using a modified version of the European Standard EN 1276, a ...

Seigniorage as a Tax: A Quantitative Evaluation [PDF]
IN THIS PAPER WE CONSTRUCT a computable general equilibrium model, calibrate it to selected data for the American economy, and use it to explore the efficacy of the seigniorage tax associated with various monetary arrangements. We find that the key feature of any monetary-tax arrangement is its equilibrium after-tax real return schedule on liquid ...

Quantitative Evaluation of Echinocytes in the Dog
Veterinary Clinical Pathology, 1990SummaryEchinocytes were evaluated quantitatively in both healthy and sick dogs and compared with red blood cell (RBC) morphology on Wright's‐stained blood smears. Of 68 samples submitted from sick dogs, 32 had high echinocyte numbers. Two diseases, glomerulonephritis and lymphosarcoma, accounted for 15 of the 32 cases.

The Quantitative Evaluation of Aromatic Waters†
Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1952Abstract A satisfactory method for the quantitative evaluation of aromatic waters was devised. The method was based upon the production of cloudiness in an aromatic water when a quantity of salt solution was added. By determining the quantities of a standard salt solution required to produce cloudiness in aqueous solution of a given oil, using ...

Densitometric evaluation at quantitative microradiography
Histochemie, 1969The different factors influencing the accuracy of quantitative microradiography have been investigated. The evaluation of densitometric measurements for dry mass determinations has been improved considerably by the introduction of polynomial regression analysis of the output signals for the reference system.

Quantitative Evaluation of Hair Texture
2015 IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia (ISM), 2015In this paper, we quantitatively evaluate the role of texture in hair patches, with a primary motivation of understanding what can be learned and applied by machine learning systems for texture-based hair detection. We evaluate the distribution of gradient directions in hair patches, and explore the relation between proximity to the face and the angle ...

Quantitative Evaluation of Grammaticality of Summaries
2010Automated evaluation is crucial in the context of automated text summaries, as is the case with evaluation of any of the language technologies. While the quality of a summary is determined by both content and form of a summary, throughout the literature there has been extensive study on the automatic and semi-automatic evaluation of content of ...

Quantitative Ultrasound Evaluation of the Hand
Journal of Clinical Densitometry, 2003Mechanical loading is considered a very important factor affecting bone mass. To investigate the effect of heavy hand use on bone status in the dominant and nondominant hands, 17 ironers and a control group were evaluated with a new quantitative ultrasound system measuring the speed of sound (SOS).
