Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

A quantitative theory of laser-generated ultrasound

open access: yes, 2022
S.489-496The generation of broadband elastic waves in solids by laserpulses is a suitable tool for nondestructive evaluation. The basic equations for mathematical description of the generation mechanism follow directly from non-equilibrium thermodynamics

Biomechanical mechanism and clinical management progress of surgical wound tension

open access: yesFrontiers in Surgery
Surgical wound tension, a core biomechanical factor in tissue repair, is clinically important because high tension can cause microcirculatory disturbances, leading to inhibition of cell migration and collagen deposition, and increasing complications such

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Depth Evaluation in Pulsed Phase Thermography with Neural Network

open access: yes, 1999
Pulsed phase thermography (PPT) was recently introduced [1] and up to now analysis of this infrared thermographie approach for non destructive evaluation has been limited to qualitative aspects. The study presented in this paper uses a neural network (NN)
