Quantitative phase imaging unit

Optics Letters, 2014
A simple and cost-effective method is presented for quantitative phase imaging. A common-path lateral phase shifting interferometer is realized through attaching a compact filter set to the output port of an existing microscope. The working principles, design criteria, and limitations are also derived and explained.

Quantitative phase imaging for medical diagnosis

Journal of Biophotonics, 2016
Optical microscopy is an indispensable diagnostic tool in modern healthcare. As a prime example, pathologists rely exclusively on light microscopy to investigate tissue morphology in order to make a diagnosis. While advances in light microscopy and contrast markers allow pathologists to visualize cells and tissues in unprecedented detail, the ...

Quantitative Phase Imaging Flow Cytometry

Biomedical Optics and 3-D Imaging, 2012
This paper introduces a fluidics based focus-stack collecting microscope. Images from the focus stacks are used to reconstruct the quantitative phase of red blood cells in flow with the Transport-of-Intensity-Equation method.

Quantitative ultrasonic phased array imaging

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
When imaging with ultrasonic phased arrays, what do we actually image? What quantitative information is contained in the image? Ad-hoc delay-and-sum methods such as the synthetic aperture focusing technique (SAFT) and the total focusing method (TFM) fail to answer these questions.
