Non‐Equilibrium Synthesis Methods to Create Metastable and High‐Entropy Nanomaterials
ABSTRACT Stabilizing multiple elements within a single phase enables the creation of advanced materials with exceptional properties arising from their complex composition. However, under equilibrium conditions, the Hume–Rothery rules impose strict limitations on solid‐state miscibility, restricting combinations of elements with mismatched crystal ...

Enhancing model‐based acoustic localisation using quantum annealing
Abstract Model‐based acoustic localisation estimates the locations of underwater objects by comparing sensor measurements with model predictions. To obtain high quality predictions, propagation models need to be run for a large set of environmental parameters.

A dual‐piezoelectric Z‐scheme heterojunction is constructed by integrating a piezoelectric metal–organic cage (MOC‐FA3) with a β‐ketoenamine‐linked covalent organic framework (S‐COF). This design enables efficient solar‐mechanical energy conversion, achieving remarkable piezo‐photocatalytic pure water splitting for simultaneous H2 and H2O2 production ...

This study achieves anisotropic thermal expansion tuning in Nd2(Co1‐xFex)17‐yCry compounds via a magnetoelastic strategy. Variable‐temperature synchrotron X‐ray diffraction reveals that increased Fe content induces switchable lattice responses. Compositional control reduces the volume expansion coefficient αV by 20% (x═0.7) and modulates TC (442–625 K),
