Numerical and geometrical aspects of flow-based variational quantum Monte Carlo
This article aims to summarize recent and ongoing efforts to simulate continuous-variable quantum systems using flow-based variational quantum Monte Carlo techniques, focusing for pedagogical purposes on the example of bosons in the field amplitude ...

Maintaining Quantum Coherence in the Presence of Noise through State Monitoring
Unsharp POVM measurements allow the estimation and tracking of quantum wavefunctions in real-time with minimal disruption of the dynamics. Here we demonstrate that high fidelity state monitoring, and hence quantum control, is possible even in the ...

Quantum correlations of light due to a room temperature mechanical oscillator for force metrology
The coupling of laser light to a mechanical oscillator via radiation pressure leads to the emergence of quantum mechanical correlations between the amplitude and phase quadrature of the laser beam. These correlations form a generic non-classical resource

Minimizing Estimation Runtime on Noisy Quantum Computers
The number of measurements demanded by hybrid quantum-classical algorithms such as the variational quantum eigensolver (VQE) is prohibitively high for many problems of practical value.

Lorentz invariant intrinsic decoherence [PDF]
Quantum decoherence can arise due to classical fluctuations in the parameters which define the dynamics of the system. In this case decoherence, and complementary noise, is manifest when data from repeated measurement trials are combined.

Enhancing teleportation of quantum Fisher information by partial measurements
The purport of quantum teleportation is to completely transfer information from one party to another distant partner. However, from the perspective of parameter estimation, it is the information carried by a particular parameter, not the information of ...

Quantum circuit to estimate pi using quantum amplitude estimation
This study presents a quantum circuit for estimating the pi value using arithmetic circuits and by quantum amplitude estimation. We review two types of quantum multipliers and propose quantum squaring circuits based on the multiplier as basic arithmetic circuits required for performing quantum computations.

Asymptotically Optimal Quantum Amplitude Estimation by Generalized Qubitization
We first show that the standard deviation error of quantum amplitude estimation is asymptotically lower bounded by approximately $1.28 L^{-1}$, where $L$ is the number of queries. Then we propose a generalized qubitization that can block-encode several polynomial functions simultaneously, and show how it can help estimating quantum amplitude to achieve

Quantum-enhanced mean value estimation via adaptive measurement [PDF]
Quantum-enhanced (i.e., higher performance by quantum effects than any classical methods) mean value estimation of observables is a fundamental task in various quantum technologies; in particular, it is an essential subroutine in quantum computing ...
