Dynamical conductivity of disordered quantum chains
Abstract We study the transport properties of a one-dimensional quantum system with disorder. We numerically compute the frequency dependence of the conductivity of a fermionic chain with nearest-neighbor interaction and a random chemical potential by using the Chebyshev matrix product state (CheMPS) method.

Room-temperature quantum interference in single perovskite quantum dot junctions
Quantum interference effects remain elusive in halide perovskite materials. Here Zheng et al. reveal the atomic origin of the conductance features in the single perovskite quantum dot junctions, and present direct evidence of the room-temperature quantum

Quantum Mechanical Aspects in the Pathophysiology of Neuropathic Pain
Neuropathic pain is a challenging complaint for patients and clinicians since there are no effective agents available to get satisfactory outcomes even though the pharmacological agents target reasonable pathophysiological mechanisms.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Circuit Quantum Simulation of a Tomonaga-Luttinger Liquid with an Impurity
The Tomonaga-Luttinger liquid (TLL) concept is believed to generically describe the strongly correlated physics of one-dimensional systems at low temperatures.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Quantum corrections to thermopower and conductivity in graphene
The quantum corrections to the conductivity and the thermopower in monolayer graphene are studied. We use the recursive Green's function method to calculate numerically the conductivity and the thermopower of graphene. We then analyze these weak localization corrections by fitting with the analytical theory as function of the impurity parameters and ...
