The Finslerian quantum cosmology [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Physics, 2020
We present a Friedmann–Robertson–Walker quantum cosmological model within the framework of Finslerian geometry. In this work, we consider a specific fluid. We obtain the corresponding Wheeler–DeWitt equation as the usual constraint equation as well as the Schrödinger equation following Dirac, although the approaches yield the same time-independent ...

Observational Exclusion of a Consistent Quantum Cosmology Scenario

open access: yes, 2015
It is often argued that inflation erases all the information about what took place before it started. Quantum gravity, relevant in the Planck era, seems therefore mostly impossible to probe with cosmological observations.

DECOHERENCE IN QUANTUM COSMOLOGY AND THE COSMOLOGICAL CONSTANT [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2013
We discuss a spacetime having the topology of S3×ℝ but with a different smoothness structure. The initial state of the cosmos in our model is identified with a wildly embedded 3-sphere (or a fractal space). In previous work we showed that a wild embedding is obtained by a quantization of a usual (or tame) embedding.

Generic absence of strong singularities and geodesic completeness in modified loop quantum cosmologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Different regularizations of the Hamiltonian constraint in loop quantum cosmology yield modified loop quantum cosmologies, namely mLQC-I and mLQC-II, which lead to qualitatively different Planck scale physics.

Is Computing with Light All You Need? A Perspective on Codesign for Optical Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This perspective article considers what computations optical computing can and should enable. Focusing upon free‐space optical computing, it argues that a codesign approach whereby materials, devices, architectures, and algorithms are simultaneously optimized is needed.

Cosmology Due to Thermodynamics of Apparent Horizon

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, EarlyView.
Effective cosmological constant as a function of the Hubble rate H for different entropy parameters b. Figure shows the asymptotic of the effective cosmological constant. At H = 0 the effective cosmological constant vanishes. Abstract This study proposes new entropy of the apparent horizon Sh=(1/β)arctan(βSBH)$S_h=(1/\beta)\arctan (\beta S_{BH ...

Quantum Cosmology

open access: yes
Invited contribution to the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Physics (2nd edition), providing an overview over some main ideas and results in quantum cosmology. Key points: Canonical quantisation of homogeneous, isotropic cosmology; discussion of ambiguities in this quantisation; Construction of explicit solutions, attempts at physical interpretation ...

On the Physical Hilbert Space of Loop Quantum Cosmology

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper we present a model of Riemannian loop quantum cosmology with a self-adjoint quantum scalar constraint. The physical Hilbert space is constructed using refined algebraic quantization.

Dynamics of Bio‐Convection Two‐Phase Nanofluid Flow in an Entropy‐Optimized Non‐Newtonian Model With Nonlinear Thermal Radiation and Electromagnetic Effects

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The study of nanofluids has attracted significant attention due to their superior thermophysical properties, making them ideal for thermal transport in engineering and biomedical applications. Motivated by these capabilities, this study develops a novel three‐dimensional mathematical model for electrically conducting Sutterby nanofluids ...
