The flavor transition process b → sγ in the U(1)XSSM with the mass insertion approximation

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
People extend the MSSM with the local gauge group U(1)X to obtain the U(1)XSSM. In the framework of the U(1)XSSM, we study the flavor transition process b→sγ with the mass insertion approximation (MIA).

GKZ-hypergeometric systems for Feynman integrals

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
Basing on the systems of linear partial differential equations derived from Mellin-Barnes representations and Miller's transformation, we obtain GKZ-hypergeometric systems of one-loop self energy, one-loop triangle, two-loop vacuum, and two-loop sunset ...

K-theory in quantum field theory [PDF]

open access: yesCurrent Developments in Mathematics, 2001
We survey three different ways in which K-theory in all its forms enters quantum field theory. In Part 1 we give a general argument which relates topological field theory in codimension two with twisted K-theory, and we illustrate with some finite models.

Nonabelian anyon condensation in 2+1d topological orders: A string-net model realization

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We develop a comprehensive framework for realizing anyon condensation of topological orders within the string-net model by constructing a Hamiltonian that bridges the parent string-net model before and the child string-net model after anyon condensation.

A 95 GeV Higgs boson in the U(1)XSSM

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
The CMS and ATLAS Collaborations have recently reported their findings based on the comprehensive run 2 dataset, detailing their searches for a light Higgs boson with a mass of approximately 95 GeV.

On the complexity of quantum field theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract We initiate a study of the complexity of quantum field theories (QFTs) by proposing a measure of information contained in a QFT and its observables. We show that from minimal assertions, one is naturally led to measure complexity by two integers, called format and degree, which characterize the information content of the ...

Spin in Quantum Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
I introduce spin in field theory by emphasizing the close connection between quantum field theory and quantum mechanics. First, I show that the spin-statistics connection can be derived in quantum mechanics without relativity or field theory. Then, I discuss path integrals for spin without using spinors.

QUANTUM THEORY AND GALOIS FIELDS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics B, 2006
We discuss the motivation and main results of a quantum theory over a Galois field (GFQT). The goal of the paper is to describe main ideas of GFQT in a simplest possible way and to give clear and simple arguments that GFQT is a more natural quantum theory than the standard one.
