SPIN TOPOLOGICAL QUANTUM FIELD THEORIES [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics, 1998
Starting from the quantum group [Formula: see text], we construct operator invariants of 3-cobordisms with spin structure, satisfying the requirements of a topological quantum field theory and refining the Reshetikhin–Turaev and Turaev–Viro models. We establish the relationship between these two refined theories.

Quantum Spins and Quantum Links: The D-Theory Approach to Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
A new non-perturbative approach to quantum field theory is proposed. Instead of performing a path integral over configurations of classical fields, D-theory works with discrete quantized variables. Classical spin fields are replaced by quantum spins, and

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Critical 1- and 2-point spin correlations for the O(2) model in 3d bounded domains

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We study the critical properties of the 3d O(2) universality class in bounded domains through Monte Carlo simulations of the clock model. We use an improved version of the latter, chosen to minimize finite-size corrections at criticality, with 8 ...

QUANTUM THEORY AND GALOIS FIELDS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics B, 2006
We discuss the motivation and main results of a quantum theory over a Galois field (GFQT). The goal of the paper is to describe main ideas of GFQT in a simplest possible way and to give clear and simple arguments that GFQT is a more natural quantum theory than the standard one.

Point-form quantum field theory

open access: yes, 2007
We examine canonical quantization of relativistic field theories on the forward hyperboloid, a Lorentz-invariant surface of the form $x_\mu x^\mu = \tau^2$.

Unique Performance Considerations for Printable Organic Semiconductor and Perovskite Radiation Detectors: Toward Consensus on Best Practice Evaluation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

QUANTUM GROUPS AND FIELD THEORY [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2000
When the symmetry of a physical theory describing a finite system is deformed by replacing its Lie group by the corresponding quantum group, the operators and state function will lie in a new algebra describing new degrees of freedom. If the symmetry of a field theory is deformed in this way, the enlarged state space will again describe additional ...

Quantum Spacetime and Algebraic Quantum Field Theory

open access: yes, 2015
We review the investigations on the quantum structure of spactime, to be found at the Planck scale if one takes into account the operational limitations to localization of events which result from the concurrence of Quantum Mechanics and General ...

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.
