Handbook of quantum logic and quantum structures : quantum structures.

open access: yes, 2007
Since its inception in the famous 1936 paper by Birkhoff and von Neumann entitled The logic of quantum mechanics quantum logic, i.e. the logical investigation of quantum mechanics, has undergone an enormous development.

Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Microscopic Insights into Magnetic Warping and Time‐Reversal Symmetry Breaking in Topological Surface States of Rare‐Earth‐Doped Bi2Te3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic doping of the topological insulator Bi2Te3 with erbium adatoms induces out‐of‐plane magnetism and breaks time‐reversal symmetry, opening a Dirac gap and driving a Fermi surface transition from hexagonal to star‐of‐David geometry. Microscopy, spectroscopy, and magnetic dichroism reveal atomically controlled magnetic interactions that tailor the

Spectrum and wave functions of excited states in lattice gauge theory

open access: yes, 2008
We suggest a new method to compute the spectrum and wave functions of excited states. We construct a stochastic basis of Bargmann link states, drawn from a physical probability density distribution and compute transition amplitudes between stochastic ...

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Nonlocal quantum fluctuations and fermionic superfluidity in the imbalanced attractive hubbard model

open access: yes, 2014
We study fermionic superfluidity in strongly anisotropic optical lattices with attractive interactions utilizing the cluster dynamical mean-field theory method, and focusing in particular on the role of nonlocal quantum fluctuations.

Unconventional and robust light-matter interactions based on the non-Hermitian skin effect

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Lattice models featuring the non-Hermitian skin effect have attracted rapidly growing interest due to their nontrivial spectral topology and the exotic field dynamics they enable.

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Interacting ultracold gases in optical lattices: non-equilibrium dynamics and effects of disorder

open access: yes, 2012
This dissertation aims at giving a theoretical description of various applications of ultracold gases. A particular focus is cast upon the dynamical evolution of bosonic condensates in non-equilibrium by means of the time-dependent Gutzwiller method ...

When can statistical theories be causally closed? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The notion of common cause closedness of a classical, Kolmogorovian probability space with respect to a causal independence relation between the random events is defined, and propositions are presented that characterize common cause closedness for ...
